James Scott Glisson, 37, of Millington, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton.

He was a retired carpet installer.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely with Bro. Ray Winstead officiating.

The family will receive visitors at 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, James T. and Sue Glisson of Dyersburg; three sisters, Madonna Varanelli of Millington, Patricia Bolden of Dyersburg and Robin Parker of Newbern; a stepsister, Karen Paschal of Dyersburg; a brother, Anthony Lee Varanelli and wife, Michelle, of Dyersburg; and a stepbrother, Steve Carroll of Finley.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Cole, David Smith, Daniel Smith, Dillion Kolwyck, Brian Kolwyck and Steve Carroll.

J.W. Greene, 81, of Tigrett, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at the Highlands of Dyersburg.

He was a retired salesman from Consumers Power, was a member of the Moose Lodge, F.O.E. Lodge - Motorcycle Drill Team State Champions of Michigan. He also was a P.F.C. in the National Guard.

Services for will be at 3 p.m. today at Friendship Funeral Home with Chris Bates officiating. Burial will be in Bowen's Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. today until service time.

He was born in Dyersburg to the late William and Jewell Stephenson Greene.

Survivors include a daughter, Lori G. Fuller of Tigrett; a son, Randy D. Greene (Susan) of Clarkston, MI; three sisters, Virginia Smith of Tigrett, Glenda Kelzer of Bradford and Betty Shelly of Spring City; two brothers, Danny Greene of LaPeer, MI and Larry Goforth of Clarkston, MI; six grandchildren, Randy Greene, Jr., Shawna Greene, Brian McCormic, Jennifer McCormic, April Greene, Bailey Hawks; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Willie M. Hatfield Greene on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010; two sisters, Wanda Sheppard and Elizabeth Goforth; and two brothers, Don Goforth and Franklin Goforth.

Pallbearers will be George Rice, Tommy Rice, Mike Smith, Randy Greene, Jr., Larry Greene and Luke Allmon. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Irvin, David Mallard and David Stephenson.

Eldaren F. Jones, 75, of Halls, died Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at Dyersburg Manor.

She was a retired employee of Sylvania and Republic Builders.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Williams Chapel Baptist Church in Halls, where she was a member, with the Rev. Jimmy Clay officiating. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Moore and husband Robert W. of Halls; a son, Anthony Jones of Obion; a sister, Shirley Smith of Alabama; a brother, Leonard Fish Jr. of Missouri; four grandchildren, Nick Bell, Shana Jones and Mandy Leonard, all of Dyersburg, and Stanton Jones of Finley; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Jones; a son, Robert Jones; her parents, Leonard Fish Sr. and Irene LaRue Fish; and a brother, Wallace Fish.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Williams Chapel Baptist Church, 381 Church Road, Halls, TN 38040.
