Sidney H. "Dick" Lane, 97, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at Maple Ridge Manor in Dyersburg.

He was retired co-owner and manager of Pepsi Cola in Jackson and a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Burse and Rick Crawford officiating. Burial will be in RoEllen Cemetery.

Survivors include two sisters, Mary Sullivan and Evelyn Mitchell, both of Murfreesboro; and several nieces and nephews, one of which is Shelley Wellington and husband, Steve, of Dyersburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Lane; his parents, Sidney and Bessie Cook Lane; three sisters, Cornelia Brann, Rebecca "Sally" Bicknell Jones and Hallie King; and a brother, Walter Lane.

Pallbearers will be Bill Ables, Rick Crawford, Tony Dement, John Noe, Chuck Walden and Jimmy Johnson.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to Nell R. Lane Irrevocable Charitable Trust, c/o West Dyersburg Church of Christ, 820 Hwy. 51 Bypass, Dyersburg, TN 38024.

Dr. Milton A. York Jr., 75, Doctor of Optometry both Memphis and Dyersburg, passed away on Nov. 2, 2010.

He received his doctorate from the University of California in Berkley. He was a professor at SCO. He was a Navy veteran, an avid outdoorsman, poet, artisan and craftsman.

He leaves his children Adam York, and Rebecca York Osborn, a brother Alvin York, a sister Laurie York, and 4 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lilah York and his daughter Rachel Claire York.

The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Friday, November 5, 2010, with funeral services at 1 pm on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010 all at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dr. York was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and friend. Flowers may be sent or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Teresa Ann Gabel, 47, of Kenton, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 2010 at Baptist Hospital in Union City.
