Lory Lynette Poteet box, 44, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
She was ultrasonographer for Methodist University Hospital in Memphis and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and National Ultrasonographer Association.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. today at Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Lynn King officiating. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Box of Dyersburg; four daughters, Devon Box Shaver of Spangdahlen, Germany, Jade Box, Ragan Box and Adrian Box, all of Dyersburg; a son, Drake Box of Dyersburg; her parents, Joyce Alexander Poteet and Larry Poteet and wife, Cathy, all of Dyersburg; a brother, Leslie Poteet of Denver, Colo.; and a stepsister, Emily McCullough of Manhatten, Ks.;

James Harold Brooks, of Dyersburg, TN went home to be with his Lord on November 14, 2010. He was born in the Bobwire Community near Bogota, TN on October 11, 1928, to the late Earl Brooks and Annie Lee Cooper Brooks. He served in the U.S. Army in the late 1940's before marrying his wife of 61 years, Earlene Hood.
Harold farmed until he went to work at GTE Sylvania in the late 1960's, and after Sylvania closed he operated the Greyhound Bus Station until his retirement.
He was a member of Lenox Baptist Church at his death and for many years served as Training Union Director at Miston Baptist Church. Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Jim) Edgin, and sons, Randy (Connie) Brooks, David (Kay) Brooks, Billy Gene (Ann) Brooks, Ronnie (Joyce) Brooks, Ricky (Pam) Brooks, Kevin Brooks, twenty grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his three sisters, Estelle Long, Martha Brooks and Louise Brooks. Pall Bearers will be grandsons, Eric Brooks, Brandon Brooks, Ben Brooks, Jonathan Brooks, Ricky Wayne Brooks, and Derrick Brooks, Chad Edgin will be an honorary Pall Bearer. Visitation will be, Tuesday, November 16, 2010, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, 2010, in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Rudy Ring, Billy Brooks and Jimmy Chandler officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
Jerry Lee Bryant, 60, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was a retired postal clerk with the United States Postal Service in Dyersburg, a graduate of Dyersburg State Community College and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Graveside services were held at 3 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Calvin Smith officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
The family received visitors from 2-2:45 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Brenda K. Turnbo Bryant of Dyersburg; a daughter, Angel Bryant of Dyersburg; and a son, Greg Bryant of Ridgely.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Gladys Knott Bryant.
Pallbearers will be Eugene Cassler, Jim Bennett, Wayne Walker, Robert Turnbo, Wesley Howard Turnbo and James Wilson.
W.J. "Pete" Hudson, 62, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at his residence.
He was a retired robotic welder for Heckethorn Mfg., a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ, former employee of Colonial Rubber Works and Dyersburg Fabrics and a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Wright officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Judy Hudson of Dyersburg; a daughter, Sheri Henson of Ripley; a son, Jeff Hudson and wife, Tammy, of Oakland; two sisters, Pat Reasons and Mary Alice Cooper, both of Dyersburg; and two grandchildren, Justin Henson and Cameron Hudson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Mary Simpson Hudson.

Justina Macklin, age 11 of Tiptonville, died Nov. 10, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Hospital in Dyersburg.
Justina was very fond of reading, drawing and spending time with her family. She was also a big fan of Michael Jackson.
Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 10 a.m.-4:p.m. at St John #2 M.B. Church in Tiptonville.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 1 p.m. at St. John #2 M.B. Church in Tiptonville with Elder Stanley Montgomery officiating. Burial will be held in the Union City Cemetery.

James D. "Jim" Rose, 71, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, November 14, 2010 at his residence.
He was a retired purchasing agent for Material Service Corporation in Romeoville, IL. where he worked for 36 years, a lifetime member of Hampton Park Social Athletic Club in Romeoville, IL., member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1557 since 1974 in Lockport, IL., member of Automobile Mechanics Union Local 701 in Chicago, IL. and a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Sue Rose of Dyersburg; a daughter, Molly Squires and husband, Matt, of Dyersburg; two step-daughters, Michelle Baumgardner and fiance` Richard Prisk of Ft. Quincy Wagster, 79, of Rutherford, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at his residence.
He was a mechanic and a member of Rutherford Church of Christ.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Leitherland Funeral Home in Rutherford with Bro. Randy Potts officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Dyer.
The family will receive visitors at 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
