Mrs. Annie Childress, 94, of Dyersburg, died Friday, November 19, 2010 at her residence. She worked in the Finley school cafeteria for 17 years and was a member of Ft. Hudson Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 21, 2010 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Tom Pirtle officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda (Jerry) Asbille of Germantown, Tn. and Mary Joan (Sam) Embrey of Goodlettsville, Tn; three sons, Benny Childress, Roy (Brenda) Childress, and Johnny (Edna) Childress; one sister, Betty (Harold) Whittle of Dyersburg; 11 Grandchildren, 31 Great-Grandchildren, and 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Estel E. Childress; one daughter, Maxie Bell Olive; two sisters, Louise Ramsey and Lena Mae Sweely; and one brother, Frank Ferguson.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Childress, Danny Childress, Scotty Childress, Eddy Childress, Nick Embry, and Nate Embry.
The family requests memorials be directed to Ft. Hudson Baptist Church.

Terry Wayne Weaver Sr., 38, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
He was retired as a welder for Trinity Corporation.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Church of Jesus Christ on Cumberland Avenue, where he attended, with Bro. Nick Wright officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. today at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Weaver of Dyersburg; a daughter, April Nicole Carrington of Dyersburg; four sons, Kristofer Blake Carrington, Austin Ray Weaver, Terry Wayne Weaver Jr. and Matthew Sean Weaver, all of Dyersburg; his parents, Billy Carl Weaver Sr. and Nettie Jean Weaver of Hayti, Mo.; two sisters, Barbara Ann Weaver Mumme of Dyersburg and Dorothy Chambers of Dresden; four brothers, Billy Carl Weaver Jr. of Dresden, Billy Joe Weaver and Milan Thomas Weaver, both of Hayti, Mo., and Johnny Burzinski of Chicago, Ill.; and one grandchild, Nevaeh Cheyenne Childress.
Pallbearers will be Garrett Avits, Michael Childress, Robbie Carrington, David Carrington, Billy Joe Weaver and Ronald Morrow.
Betty Tharp of Tiptonville died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2010 at The Bridge in Ridgely.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Patria A. Watson, 76, of St. Louis, formerly of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010 at her residence in Dyersburg.
