David M. "Mickey" Bryan, 70, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was retired as supervisor for Dyersburg Cotton Products after 37 years, a member of RoEllen Baptist Church, avid hunter and "family" man.

Services were Saturday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. James Hooper officiating. Burial was in Reboboth Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Capps Bryan of Dyersburg; two daughters, Teresa Bryan Clifton and husband, Bill, of Campbell, Mo., and Donna Bryan Howell and husband, Doug, of McKenzie; two sons, Michael Bryan and wife, Karen, of Dyersburg, and John Bryan and wife, Venessa, of Trenton; a sister, Nelda Rice of Dyersburg; a brother, Donald Lee Bryan of Dyersburg; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John David and Dorothy McDowell Bryan; a sister, Rosemary Bennett; and a brother, Joe Patrick Bryan.

Pallbearers were Jonathon Bryan, David Bryan, Michael Bryan, Brandon Clifton, Josh Howell and Eddie Rice.

LaNeil Fortner, 59, of Friendship, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 at her residence.

She was a homemaker and member of Friendship Baptist Church, where she served as former treasurer, member of Dove, and a Sunday school teacher.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Friendship Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Melton and Dr. Jerry Drace officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at Friendship Funeral Home.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Fortner of Friendship; two sons, Scotty Fortner (Melinda) of Friendship and Rusty Fortner (Angie) of Newbern; three sisters, JoAnn Daniel of Oakland, Betty Burks of Henning and Lillian Barham of Newbern; a brother, William Wyatt of Lexington; and two grandchildren, Tyler Fortner and Lauren Day.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Edna Tettleton Wyatt.

Pallbearers will be Scott Smith, Shane Smith, Terry Harris, Jason Kail, Jerry Daniel and Jim Carman. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Jack Stallcup, Kenny Webster, Bill Summerlin and James Harry Jordan.


Mr. Albert Otis Garrison, 75, of Dyersburg, died Friday, December 17, 2010 at his residence. He was a member of Glendale Church of Christ.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Scherffius officiating. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors Sunday Evening December 19, 2010 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include one daughter, Karen (Tracy) Walker of Dyersburg; one son, Tracy (Sara) Garrison of Franklin, Tn.; five sisters, Nora Lock, Jean Sipes, Martha Campbell, Dorothy Phillips, Barbara Hampton all of Dyersburg; four Grandchildren, Kristin Hopper, Jessica Bell, John Thomas Garrison, and Meghan Garrison; and four Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years Ernestine McKee Garrison; his parents, George and Lula Asbridge Garrison; one sister, Sue Hall; and two brothers, Hayward Thetford and George Garrison Jr.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Carter, Robert Pace, Travis Walker, Larry Ricketts, Donnie Johnson and Perry McQuarters. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Walker, John Fite, Willard Rose.

The family requests memorials be directed to Glendale Church of Christ.

Lois Marie Hollis, 59, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was a retired waitress and attended Finley Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Halliburton officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family received visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Tina Hollis of Lenox and Cindy Keeling and husband, John, of Hornbeak; two sisters, Pat Smith and husband, Michael, of Fulton, KY. and Jean Cranford and husband, Dale, of Obion; two brothers, Billy Moyers of Maryville and Hal Lee "Buck" Moyers, Jr. of Portage, IN.; five grandchildren, Mark Branch, Jessica Key, Joshua Walton, Jonathan Keeling and Alex Keeling; and three great-grandchildren, Sara Beth Key, Landon Branch and Miley Shae Walton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Wayne Tipps; her parents, Hal and Lois Cook Moyers; a sister, Peggy West; and a brother, Fred Moyers.

Pallbearers will be Tim Moyers, Anthony Moyers, David Moyers, Shane Spry, Jeff Cranford and Rodney Tipps. Honorary pallbearer will be Terry Young.


James Harold Richards, 69, of Dyersburg, died Friday, December 17, 2010 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.

He was a retired truck driver.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his four brothers, Marvin Richards and Jimmy Richards, both of Dyersburg, Jerry Richards of Jackson and Thomas Richards of Memphis.


Janice Hurst Matheny, 82, of Tiptonville, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at Reelfoot Manor.

Adell Robison, 97, of Ridgely, died Friday, Dec. 17, 2010 at The Bridge of Ridgely.
