Carl "Duke" Gaylor Sr., age 73, U.S. Army veteran of Dyersburg died December 22, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2010 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Salter's Chapel A.M.E. Church, 1016 Scott St., Dyersburg with Rev. Walter Perkins officiating. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, Dyersburg. Survivors include (6) Daughters; Margret Mays, Ruby C. Mendoza, Henning, TN Connie Flenorl, Alice (Timothy) Light, Latonia (Carlos) Doss, Carla Gaylor, Dyersburg, TN; Sons, (5) Ruben Gaylor, Portsmouth, VA. Carl Gaylor Jr., Kenneth Gaylor, Dyersburg, TN, Brice (Maria) Gaylor, Bowie, Maryland, Devon Gaylor, New Carrolton, MD; Sister, Maria Gaylor, Chicago, IL; Brother, Eddie Gaylor, Detroit, MI. Services for J.L. Miller, 80, of Friendship will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 28, 2010 in the chapel of Friendship Funeral Home with Dr. Mike Melton and Rev. Wayne Foropoulos officiating with burial to follow in Edith Community Cemetery in Ripley, Tn. Mr. Miller died Sunday Dec. 26, 2010 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Crockett Mills, Tn son of the late Lackey and Alma Gourley Miller and was retired from the United States Army serving in the Korean Conflict and GTE. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Lura Lorene Miller, Friendship, sons, Robert Miller, Johnny Ray Miller daughters, Linda Lopez, Peggy Pinder, Rhea Ann Bosarage, and Tammy Miller all of Louisiana. Step children include, sons Willie Spears (Jean) Friendship, Edward Spears (Cathy), Lombard, IL, Johnny Spears, Mt. Prospect, IL, daughters Gloria Payne (Mark), Flowery Branch, GA, and Brenda Vaughn (Wendell) Center, AL. one brother, Kelly Miller, Rockford, IL one sister, Ann Staggers, Columbus City, IL, 20 Grandchildren and 20 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded by one sister Mary Sue Horne. Visitation was held Monday Dec. 27, at the Friendship Funeral Home 4-8 P. M.

Roy Franklin Reeves, 70, of Finley, died Monday, December 27, 2010 at his residence.

He was a retired foreman with Walker Grain Company and attended Finley United Methodist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. John Compere officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Linda Hickerson Reeves of Finley; three daughters, Kim Welch and husband, Grady, of Finley, Allyson McGuire and husband, Austin, and Nancy Reeves, all of Dyersburg; two sisters, Frances Hutson of Finley and Jo Ann Powell of Dyersburg; and two grandchildren, Whitney Claire Welch and Kristen Carole Welch, both of Finley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Lott Reeves.

Pallbearers will be Austin McGuire, Grady Welch, Floyd Sullivan, Bob Brock, Danny Watson and Larry Watson.

Clifton Clarence Rigsby, 80, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Jackson Regional Hospital.

He worked for Dement Construction Company and later retired in 1998 from Payne Steel Erectors and was a member of Lenox Baptist Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Rudy Ring and Bro. Donald Williams officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family received visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Lois Dale Rigsby of Dyersburg; two daughters, Jacquelyn Dorris of Gallatin and Debra Dorris of Madison; a son, Ricky Phillips and wife, Rhee, of Jackson; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Mamie Somerville Rigsby; and eight brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be David Haddock, Bob Veal, Duke Turnage, Jim Edgin, Jon Binkley, Monty Long, Brad Studard and J.P. Berkley.

The family requests that memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.

Opal Garner Wilkerson, 95, of Trimble, died Thursday, Dec. 23, 2010 at Dyer Nursing Home.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Legion, and past president of the Trimble PTA where she also served as a district officer.

Services were Sunday at Cool Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church, where she was a member, with the Rev. Steve Rogers and the Rev. Johnny Welch officiating. Burial was in Cool Springs Cemetery. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include three sons, James Wilkerson Jr. and wife, Linda, Tom Wilkerson and wife, Brenda, and Ricarhd Wilkerson and wife, Nancy, all of Trimble; two sisters, Edith Bogard of Jackson and Sarah Fowlkes of Newbern; six grandchildren, Vicki Wilkerson Phelps of Sneadsferry, N.C., Michael Wilkerson of Olive Branch, Miss., Dona Wilkerson Welch of Memphis, Derek "Pete" Wilkerson of Trimble, Brandi Wilkerson Palmer of Dyersburg, and Rebecca Wilkerson Holden of Newbern; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Wilkerson Sr., and five sisters, Nancy Batts, Mylee Fletcher, Loudelia Dick, Elizabeth "Top" Wright and Drucilla Huie.

Pallbearers were Robert Fletcher, Lynn McDonald, Pete Wilkerson, Michael Wilkerson, Asa Wilkerson and John Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers were James Batts, David Fowlkes, Phil Bogard, John Huie and Joe Huie.
