Mrs. Mable "Polly" Patterson Bishop, 89, of Newbern, TN died Tuesday, January 04, 2011 at her residence. She was a Baptist.

Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 7, 2011 in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Don Layman officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday January 6, 2011 at the funeral home.

Survivors include her son, Fred (Florence) Bishop Jr. of Dyersburg; five grandchildren, Pat Ricchiuto, Cindy McCaig, Cheryl Combs, Deborah Burns, and Susan Zubic; 13 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Bishop Sr.; her parents, Addie Benthal Bishop and Bill Patterson; four brothers, Alton "Fish" Patterson, Willie Patterson, Jack Patterson, and Albert Patterson; and two sisters, Rena Doughten and Lillie Mayo.

Pallbearers will be Terry Brown, Bobby Peery, Robert Halton, Keith Ables, Kevin Ables, and Anthony Burns. Honorary pallbearer will be James "Bo" Patterson.

Robert "Little Robert" Mauldin Jr., 29, of Dyersburg died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Finley Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1:00 pm Friday, January 7, 2011 at Finley Baptist Church with Reverend Charlie Halliburton officiating. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The Mauldin family will receive visitors Thursday, January 6th from 5 until 8 p.m. at the church.

Survivors include his wife Sarah Fowlkes Mauldin and his daughter Elana Frances Mauldin, his parents Robert and Amy Mauldin, his sister, Amanda Mauldin Cooper and husband Chad, 3 brothers Todd Mauldin, Justin Daniels and wife Tiffany and Josh Daniels and wife Leigh Anne all of Dyersburg, his grandparents Wilburn Mauldin of Ridgely and Odell and Lena Moody of Finley, 6 nieces and nephews, Chad Cooper, Austin Ellington, Cameron Daniels, Chloe Daniels, Lilli Daniels, a special great aunt, Bonnie Perry, an aunt Emily Pritchett and husband Butch, an uncle Marty Moody and wife Ann all of Dyersburg and an uncle Jack Mauldin of Ridgely.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cindy Watson Mauldin and his grandmother, Geneva Mauldin.

Pallbearers will be Glenn Parkinson, Michael Joyner, Garon Perdue, Tommy Tidwell, Johnny Tidwell and Jesse Rush. Honorary pallbearers will be Ted Weaver, Nathan Mascroft, Michael Screws and Victor Walton.

Charles 'Cotton' Gray, infant son of Jesse and Page Gray, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 at LeBonheur Children's Medical Center in Memphis.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7 at Newbern First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gus Lohrum officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In addition to his parents, survivors include a sister, Mallory Gray of Dyersburg; grandparents Keith Campbell of Odin, Ill., Karen Gordon of Evans, Ga., and Yvonne Gray of Dyersburg; and great-grandparents Mr. and Mrs. John Babbitt of Dyersburg and Mr. and Mrs. B.P. Campbell of Odin, Ill.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Gavin Gray; grandfather Jimmy Gray; and great-grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Earl Curry.

Pallbearers will be Shane Gray and Mike Henson.

James Hall Shaw, 72, of Ridgely, died Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired branch manager for Helena Chemicals, where he worked for 18 years, member of First Baptist Church in Ridgely, member of Tennessee Air National Guard, lifetime resident of Ridgely, member of Lake County School Board, where he had been chairman and was a farmer.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Ridgely with Bro. Richard Bragg and Bro. John Coleman officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Laird Shaw of Ridgely; two daughters, Tracey Shaw Lahman and husband, Rick, of Nashville and Leslie Shaw Hastings and husband, Richard, of Tupelo, MS.; and five grandchildren, Patrick Hastings, Abbey Hastings, Olivia Hastings, Alex Lahman and Campbell Lahman.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Jemima Willingham Shaw; a sister, Peggy Taylor; and a brother, Billy Shaw.

Pallbearers will be Tim Taylor, Rob Shaw, Kent Patterson, Trent Patterson, Rick Bingham and Peter Richards.

The family requests that memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church in Ridgely.


Donna Nicole Wylie, 32, of Raleigh, N.C., died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, N.C.
