Marion Evelyn Davis, 81, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011.

She was a retired nurse aide for Parkview Hospital, a member of Harvest Baptist Church and a member of the Eastern Star where she had served as Grand Worthy Matron.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Harvest Baptist Church with the Rev. Nathe Ozment and the Rev. Scott Sewell officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Survivors include four daughters, Clara Shumate, Mary Holden (Jim), and Jennifer Pinson, all of Dyersburg and Bonnie Reid (Charlie) of Demopolis, Ala.; three sons, Billy Clyde Davis Jr. (Pat) and Tommy Davis (Tammy), both of Dyersburg and Bobby Davis (Angie) of Newbern; a sister, Geraldine Vickers of Clinton, Miss.; a brother, Floyd Taylor (Barbara) of Dothan, Ala.; 28 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde William Davis; a daughter, Karel McAlister; two sons, Michael Wayne Davis and James Edwin Davis; and her parents, Franklin Edwin Taylor and Clara Mae Smithers Taylor.

Pallbearers will be Andy Wright, Tim Pope, Todd Palmer, Tommy Kelly, Jeff Hudson, Gene Hall, Jim Weeks, Jerry Lee and Gerald Prince. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and the men of Harvest Baptist Church.

The family request that any memorials be directed to Harvest Baptist Church, 544 Fuller Road, Dyersburg, TN 38024.

Terry Gene Gourley, 45, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Feb. 12 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a former employee of Dyersburg Pallet.

Graveside services will be at 12 p.m. today in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Bo Kindle officiating. Johnson-Williams Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors at 9:30-11:30 a.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Gourley of Dyersburg; three daughters, Amanda Jones, Terri Gourley and Andrea Wilson, all of Dyersburg; his parents, Aldeon and Ruth Gourley of Dyersburg; two sisters, Connie McIntosh and Carol Robertson, both of Dyersburg; a brother, Joseph Gourley of Dyersburg; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Gourley.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Markham, Charlie Franklin, Stowie Anderson, Marvin Lowrance, Matt Stacks and Ryan Jones.

Ethel McDaniel, 82, of Wynnburg, died Monday, February 14, 2011 at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Center.

She was a retired Private Duty Nurse and a member of Wynnburg Baptist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wynnburg Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Byassee officiating. Burial will be in Crockett Chapel Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Guy McDaniel of Wynnburg; a son, Rickey McDaniel and wife, Peggy, of Memphis; two step-sons, Gary Johnson of Memphis and Adam McDaniel of Alabama; three step-daughters, Lisa Bucy and Debbie Barker, both of Sharon and Gail Lawler of Martin; a sister, Maebelle McClain of Wynnburg; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gene McDaniel; her parents, Ode and Nora Smith Winsett; a brother, James Winsett; and a great-great-grandchild.
