Mary Frances Tweedy Buchannon, 88, of Dyersburg, died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a retired employee of Loeb's Barbecue and a member of Harvest Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Don Hicks officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors at 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda McKinnis of Hopkinsville, Ky.; a son, Jerry M. Tweedy of Plumerville, Ark.; four brothers, Durwood Ray Camp, Otha Camp, Grady Eugene Camp, all of Memphis, and Joe Von Camp of Maury City; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, C.A. Buchannon; a daughter, Deborah Tweedy Wright; and a son, Jackie H. Tweedy.
Pallbearers will be Trey McKinnis, Mark McKinnis, Mike McKinnis, Todd Tweedy, Bryan Nale and Steve McCollum. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Binkley, Ashlee McCollum, Melissa Nale and Kayce Coats.
The family requests that any memorials be directed to the American Heart Association.
Ronnie Joe Clendenin, 63, of Halls, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011 at his home.
Born in Halls, he was the son of Walter L. and the late Dorothy (Webb) Clendenin.
He was a teacher, employed by Halls High School for 29 years, and a pastor for the Beech Grove Baptist Church for 29 years also.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17 at the Westside Baptist Church in Halls. Interment was in Halls Cemetery, Halls. Halls Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Gloria (Sawyers) Clendenin; a daughter, Lori (Mark) Darty of Collierville; and a son, Jimmy (Hope) Clendenin of Halls three sisters, Helen (Lonnis) McClain of Halls, Sandra Roberts of Newbern, and Charlotte Duncan of Linden; a brother: Tony (Shelia) Clendenin of Halls; two grandsons, Colin (Caitlyn) Clendenin of Halls and Evan Darty; a granddaughter, Anna Darty; and close family friend, Marty Richardson of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Darlene Wilson.
Cory Anthony Jones, 21, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, February 17, 2011 at his residence.
He was a 2007 graduate of Dyersburg High School, avid sports fan and had a courageous smile that was full of inspiration and hope.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Chaplain Walter Spears officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his mother, Tina Holland of Dyersburg; his father, David Anthony Jones of Dyersburg; a brother, Andre Nashone Wells of Dyersburg; his fiancée, Sabrina Ciechan of Dyersburg; his grandparents, Joyce Hodges and Shirley Jones, both of Dyersburg and Raymond Whitlow of Elbridge; his fiancée's mother, Sheila Ciechan of Dyersburg; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Marshall Jones.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ciechan, Alex Jennings, Roger Belcher, T.J. Burnette, Morrell Smith and Alan Garner. Honorary pallbearer will be Andre Wells.
Mrs. Laura Ruth Weldon, age 63, of Dyersburg died Friday, Feb. 18, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was a retired nurse for over 40 years. She attended Second Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 21, 2011 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Reverend Ronnie Turner and Brother Rich Evans officiating. Interment will follow in Ripley Memorial Gardens. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The Weldon family will receive visitors Sunday, February 20th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband of 27 years, Bill Weldon of Dyersburg, 2 sisters, Helen Maclin of Dyersburg and Louise Williams of Troy, TN and 3 brothers, Neiman C. Maclin, Jr. and wife Beverly Donald Maclin, both of Louisville, KY and David Maclin and wife Joan of Marion, KY, 5 nieces, 2 nephews, 1 great niece and 2 great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Neiman Columbus and Annie Brown Maclin and a niece Natalie Maclin.
Pallbearers will be Rich Evans, Paul Maclin, Blake Turner, Charles Burnett, Blake Evans and Preston Turner.
