Maddalynn Grace "Maddie" Adams, 1-year-old daughter of Wesley and Krista Clanton Adams of Newbern, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at Methodist Healthcare of Lexington.

Services will be at noon Saturday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Oakley officiating. Burial will be in Pierce Cemetery in Trimble.

The family will receive visitors Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

In addition to her parents, survivors include a brother, Stanton Rhodes of Newbern; her grandparents, Randy and Janice Moore of Newbern, David Adams of Dyer and Barbara Adams of Humboldt; great-grandparents James and Nell King of Jackson, Patsy Clanton of Troy and Geneva McBee of Dyer; an aunt, Keri Clanton of Memphis; and two uncles, Tim Adams and Seth Adams, both of Dyer.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Bubba "PawPaw" Clanton; an aunt, Alicia Adams; and great-grandparents Williams Bradshaw, and Archie and Blondell Adams.

Pallbearers will be grandfathers Randy Moore and David Adams. Honorary pallbearer will be Stanton Rhodes.

Margaret Deaton Davis, 90, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Gibson General Hospital in Trenton.

She was a retired secretary for Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company and a member of Fowlkes Methodist Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Fowlkes Methodist Church with Bro. John Lowrance officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday at the church.

Survivors include her two sons, William E. Davis and wife, Barbara, of Dyersburg and Wilson W. Davis and wife, Judy, of Baldwyn, MS.; seven grandchildren, Dawn Alexander and Will Davis, both of Dyersburg, Anthony Davis and Wilson W. Davis III, both of McKenzie, Wendy Davis of Memphis, Amanda Davis of Gibson and Kristie Davis of Chapel Hill; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson W. Davis, Sr.; two brothers, Charles Richardson and J.O. Richardson; and a granddaughter, Melanie Davis.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Davis, Wilson W. Davis III, Danny Joe Richardson, Charles F. Richardson, Jeff Yarbrough and Chris Faulkner.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Fowlkes Methodist Church.


Duward Brice Jones, 93, of Trimble, died Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

He was a retired employee of Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Oakley officiating. Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery in Mason Hall.

The family will receive visitors Friday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include two nieces, Pam Andrews of Newbern and Mary Brockwell of Loretta; three nephews, Austin Campbell of Newbern, Franklin Jones of Philadelphia, Penn., and Lloyd Joslin of Houston, Texas; and special friends Jerry and Lois Hinson of Trimble.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Eudora Sawyers Jones.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Hinson, Jodie Hinson, Jeremy Hinson, Jack Hinson, David Nicholson, Milford Curtis and David Powell.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Trimble First Baptist Church,139 East Mitchell St., Trimble, TN 38259.

Grace Simpson, 74, of Newbern, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at her residence.
