Mr. Donald Lee Darby, 62, of Dyersburg, TN died Friday, April 08, 2011 at his residence in Dyersburg. He was a member of Sorrells Chapel Methodist Church and a Veteran of the United States Navy and served as Boatswains' Mate Third Class.
Services will be Sunday, April 10, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. John Lowrance officiating. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, April 09, 2011 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife Brenda Gray Darby of Dyersburg; one daughter Kimberly Jane Webb and husband Steve of Ripley; three step-daughters, Tammy Jackson, Christy Epperson and husband Bubba both of Dyersburg, and Pamela Rudd and husband Ricky of Wardell, Mo; one son, Stephen Wade Darby of Lexington; two sisters, Betty Hutson and Lorie Hollingsworth of Dyersburg; Six Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mallie and Birdie Plunk Darby; and three brothers, Gerald Darby, Billy Darby, and Tommy Darby.
Pallbearers will be George Rice, Roger Rice, Danny Moore, Billy Paul Hogan, Ricky Rudd, and Kenneth Neal. Honorary Pallbearers will be Buddy Griffin, Bill Garner, and Bubba Epperson.

Maurice Freeman Goad, 78, of Finley, died Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired truck driver, Worshipful Master Hess Lodge #93, 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Scottish Rite, U.S. Army Veteran of Korean War and recipient of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Doris M. Goad of Finley; two daughters, Toni Goad Sanders of Finley and Nancy J. Tucker of Antwerp, OH.; a sister, Crystal Miller of Waterloo, IN.; three brothers, Rice P. Goad and Marshall B. Goad, both of Dyersburg and Joe Goad of Jackson; one grandchild; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rice and Linnie Willard Goad.
Masons will serve as pallbearers.
Shirley Jean Yancey, 66, of Newbern, died Friday, April 8, 2011 at Dyersburg Manor.
She was an artist and woodworker, and a member of Emmaus Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. James Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Woodville Cemetery near Ripley.
The family will receive visitors from 2-5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry L. Yancey of Newbern; three daughters, Laura Neblett and husband, Joseph Daniel, of Vanleer, Tenn., DeAnn Nicholson of White Bluff, Tenn., and Sherry Goodman of Eatonton, Ga.; four sisters, Patricia Ann Robertson of Nolensville, Tenn., Debra Louise Courtney of Carthage, Tenn., Janie Kay Jones and Teresa Dale Corbin of Nashville; two brothers, Bobby Reese Dyer of Nashville and Travis Eugene Smith of Carthage, Tenn.; and five grandchildren, Justin Rumford, Ryan Goodman, Aaron Rumford, Alexandria Neblett and Kaci Goodman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Eugene Smith and Rosie Irene Chaffin Dyer; and a sister, Dimple Dean Smith.
Pallbearers will be Terry Brown, Adam Oxley, Joseph Neblett, Justin Rumford, Aaron Rumford and Roger Yancey.
