Mabel Rodgers Little, 86, a resident of Dresden, formerly of Obion, died Monday, April 11, 2011, at Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Obion, with John Paul Berry officiating. The family will receive friends at White-Ranson Funeral Home in Union City at 12:30 p.m. Thursday.
Pallbearers will be Bob Page, Chris Mallon, Josh Rodgers, Jeff Thomas and Marvin Wagster.
She was born Nov. 9, 1924, in Dyer County, daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Jane (Nolen) Thomas. She married Billie Rodgers, who died in 1976. She then married Jack Little, who died in 1990. She was a member of New Port Richey (Fla.) Baptist Church. She was a longtime resident of Obion who had moved to New Port Richey after her second marriage and lived there for several years. She then moved to Dresden. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Jo and Bob Page of Dresden; four grandchildren, Amy Mallon of Dresden, Josh Rodgers of New Port Richey, Keeta Stephen of Clarksville and Jenny Ambrosia of Holiday, Fla.; five great-grandchildren, Paige Mallon and Ashlee Mallon, both of Dresden, Sabrina Ambrosia of Holiday, Elijay Rodgers of New Port Richey and Ella Stephen of Clarksville; and her brother, Guyve Thomas of Newbern.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Mac Rodgers; three sisters, Blondell Wagster, Edith Asbridge and Lelma Rice; and two brothers, Joe Thomas and George Thomas.
Helen Hargrove, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
