Obituaries for May 3, 2011

Tuesday, May 3, 2011

Agnesanne Hollomon Murdoch was born on July 22, 1928, in Trimble, TN.

She is survived by two daughters, Jenny Graf of Springfield, and Suzanne Brown of Greenbrier; son-in-law, Bill Brown; one grandson, John Micah Moore; sister, Donna Powell Jones of Murfreesboro, TN.

She moved to Springfield in 2005 with daughter, Jenny. Both felt loved and welcomed in this friendly, caring community. Agnesanne was a gifted artist before the onset of Alzheimer's, this disease making it necessary for her family to seek residential care at NHC Springfield in April 2009. Caretaking provided by NHC and Caris enhanced the quality of Agnesanne's life and brought solace to the family.

Following cremation, the family will scatter her ashes, along with those of her husband, Woodie L. Murdoch, Jr., in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. The family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, the NHC Springfield Recreational Dept., or to the charity of one's choice.

Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
