Michael "Randy" Randolph Owens, 45, of Dyersburg, died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville, AR.

He was a former material handler for Royalguard and a member of Lenox Baptist Church.

Memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Rudy Ring officiating.

The family will receive visitors from 6-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Owens of Dyersburg; a daughter, Brittany Owens of Dyersburg; a son, Randall Owens of Dyersburg; his parents, Dalmus and Dorothy Owens of Dyersburg; a sister, Sandy Tharpe and husband, Eddie, of Newbern; a brother, Steve Owens and wife, Nancy, of Dyersburg; and a granddaughter, Katie Permenter of Dyersburg.


Isaac Lewis Shell Jr., 80, of Ridgely, died Friday, June 3, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

He was retired from the U.S. Corps of Engineers, where he worked for 28 1/2 years, member of First Baptist Church in Ridgely, member of The Masonic Lodge in Tiptonville, retired volunteer from the Ridgely Fire Department, where he served for 30 years, very active in the events of Ridgely, member of American Legion, member of VFW Post in Union City, enjoyed fishing and being with his family and was an Army veteran of the Korean War.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Ridgely Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Bragg and Brian Funderburk officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home in Ridgely.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Nettie Jo Shell of Ridgely; two daughters, Judy Shell Dennison of Medina and Carla S. Miller and husband, Dick, of St. Petersburg, FL.; two sisters, Karnese Shell Wood of Ridgely and Hines Davis and husband, Roy, of Waynesboro; five grandchildren, Sara Fuller and husband, Dan, of Medina, Michael Dennison and wife, Audra, of Raleigh, N.C., Chesley Dennison and wife, Jenny, of Jackson, Chris Miller and Garrett Miller, both of St. Petersburg, FL.; and two great-grandchildren, Zac and Liza.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Sr. and Callie Jarred Shell.

Pallbearers will be Paul Shell, Scott Shell, Chucky Shell, Greg Shell, Will Shell and Chris Shell. Honorary pallbearers will be Robin Shell Seratt, Kent Patterson, Trent Patterson, Doug Maddox, Danny Markham, Jerry Deal and Charlie Mac Deal.

The family requests that memorials be directed to Ridgely First Baptist Church Youth Department.


Jean Willis, 67, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, June 2, 2011 at her residence.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 1:30 p.m. until service time today.

Survivors include two daughters, Tina Willis Safaeih and husband, Reza, of Dyersburg, and Frankie Willis Musquiz and husband, Ricky, of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Elsie Turner of Ridgely and Lorene Carroll of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Andrew and Taylor Cardenas of Houston, Texas, and Stephen and Natalie Safaeih of Dyersburg; a great-grandchild, Sophia Valadez of Houston, Texas; former son-in-law Arthur Cardenas of Houston, Texas; and her faithful companion, Sha-Sah.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Willis; her parents, Bluford Andrew and Dollie Lee Curtis Jones; and two brothers, Ernest Jones and Leroy Jones.

Pallbearers will be Reza Safaeih, Ricky Musquiz, Arthur Cardenas, Jerry Webb, Ben Richardson and Robin Headley.
