Emily Pollard Baker, 64, of Dyersburg, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at her residence after a long illness.
She was a member of First Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher, G.A. Leader, WMU worker and director, a hand bell choir member and member of the Joy Sunday School Class.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Raymond Boston officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Bill Baker; a daughter, Amy Friedman and husband, Alec, of Memphis; a son, Andy Baker of Dyersburg; a granddaughter, Noley Baker of Dyersburg; two step-granddaughters, Cortlyn Westbrook and Avery Prestridge, both of Dyersburg; two brothers, Ray Pollard and wife, Donna, of Woodbridge, VA. and George Pollard and wife, Barbara, of Horn Lake, MS.; two nieces, Mary Frances Pollard of Moscow, Russia and Karen Pollard of St. Paul, MN.; a nephew, Jonathan Pollard and wife, Ashley, of Nesbitt, MS.; a great-nephew, Clayton Pollard, of Nesbitt, MS.; and a cousin, Jeff Wygul and family of Henry, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Sr. and Frances Pollard; and a sister-in-law, Judy Pollard.
Pallbearers will be Billy Owens, Brian Owens, Jeff Wygul, Raney Webb, Terry Glover and Chris Glover.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Community Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1002, Dyersburg, TN 38025-1002 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Beatrice Permenter, 88, of Dyersburg, died Monday, June 6, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a homemaker, a Baptist and she helped establish Permenter Produce.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Mac Daniels officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter, Betty Faye Hughen of Ooltewah; six sons, Ewell "Pete" Permenter of Ridgely, Bobby Permenter of RoEllen, Larry Joe Permenter, Terry Permenter, James Permenter and William Jerry Permenter, all of Finley; a sister, Ann Stanbrough of Newbern; a brother, John McBride of Newbern; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ewell F. "Son" Permenter; her parents, Bedford and Myra McDearmon McBride; a sister, Vivian Cooper; and four brothers, Woodrow McBride, Will McBride, Hunter McBride and Bud McBride.
Pallbearers will be Bill McBride, Pete Permenter, Bobby Permenter, James Permenter, Terry Permenter and Larry Joe Permenter. Honorary pallbearers will be Wesley Hughen and Donnie Hutchison.
Clarence Thedford, 79, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, June 5, 2011 at his residence.
He was a retired staff sergeant from the U.S. Army after 22 years of service, retired inspector for Dyersburg Fabrics, and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn King officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Hickman Thedford of Dyersburg; a daughter, Cindy McLean and husband, Randy, of Newbern; a son, Mike Thedford of Dyersburg; a sister, Marie Lewis of Seattle, Wash.; and a granddaughter, Emilee Grace McLean of Newbern.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Tarrant and Lottie Canada Thedford; and four sisters, Frances Flieg, Louise Stanley, Genell Ables and Freda Hall.
U.S. Army Military Burial Detail will serve as pallbearers.
