James Damon Campbell, 74, of Kenton, died Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Martin Healthcare.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in the chapel of Leitherland Funeral Home in Kenton with Bro. James Kinsey officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Kenton, TN.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Campbell of Kenton; two daughters, Cynthia Pugh of Union City and Darlene Owens (Terry) of Kenton; three sons, Terry Wayne Stansberry, Joseph Stansberry and Eric Stansberry, all of Kenton; and five grandchildren, Brandon Douglas Pugh, Bradley Owens, Brian Owens, Hunter Galloway and Seth Stansberry; four great-grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Olieve Campbell; and a brother.
James P. Medlin, 84, of Deland, Fla., died Thursday, June 9, 2011.
He was born in DeLand, Fla. after his family moved from Greensboro, Ga. in the early 1920's.
After attending Deland High School, Jim proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He later transferred to and retired from the U.S Air Force. After retiring from the Air Force, he began work as an air traffic controller with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 1966. Later in the same year, he accepted an FAA position at the Dyersburg, Tennessee Flight Service Station/Airport and worked in that wonderful community before returning to DeLand in 1984. He retired from Herndon Flight Service Station/Airport -- Orlando in 1987, after a 41 year distinguished career in air traffic. Jim enjoyed golfing and fishing with friends and family. He was an active member of First Baptist Church of Deland along with being part of the Mel Sloan and Gene Medlin Sunday School Class.
The funeral was conducted on Monday, June 13, at First Baptist Church of Deland Chapel at 11am with graveside to follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family received friends and love ones one hour before the service.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, DeLand native, Ruby Adams Medlin; daughter, Debra M. Todd (her husband - Roy) of Carrollton, Texas; son, James Paul Medlin (his wife - Marianne) of Germantown; son, Douglas R. Medlin (his wife - Marcy) of Gainesville, Fla.; grandchildren, Edie Todd, Kathryn Medlin, Suzanne Medlin, Jonathan Medlin and Melinda Medlin. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Martha Adams of DeLand; nieces, Sally Coleman and Kathy Powers, and nephew, Johnny Medlin.
He is preceded in death by his infant son, David Matthew Medlin; parents, James P. and Sally W. Medlin of DeLand; brother, Frank Medlin; sisters, Grace Lawyer, Sarah Medlin and Martha Radford.

L. B. Smith, 84, of Obion, TN died Sunday, June 12, 2011 at The Highlands of Dyersburg. He was a member of Aldridge Baptist Church in Obion County and served in the United States Army.
Services will be Tuesday, June 14 2011, at 10 a.m. graveside at Zion Cemetery in the Elbridge Community, with Bro. John Wayne Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Cemetery in the Elbridge Community. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family will receive visitors on Monday, June 13, 2011 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg.
Survivors include a daughter, Pat (Louis) Smith of Dyersburg; one sister, Barbara (Terry) Pledge of the Millsfield Community; one brother Bobby (Joyce) Smith of Ridgely; three Grandchildren, Kevin (Karen) Sanders, Bart (Stephanie) Sanders, Missy (Joey) Henderson; and four Great-Grandchildren, Blake Warren, Cody Warren, Molly Sanders, and Kurt Sanders.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Marie Austin Smith and Emma Sue Pruitt Smith; one sister, Margarett Jones; and one brother, Dennis Smith.
Pallbearers will be Freddie Smith, Tommy Gurien, Jamie Pritchett, Jeff Wright, Darin Watson, Jason Roberts, and William Capps. Honorary pallbearer will be Gary Lynn Jones.
