Martha Burns of Dyersburg passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2011 at her residence in Dyersburg.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Cornerstone Church of God. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ferrell Eugene Harris, of Finley, died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at his residence.

He was a retired River Boat Superintendent for Massman Construction, a member of Three Oaks Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Funeral Services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Dyersburg Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Burial was in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Doris Cole Harris of Finley; two daughters, Sharon Davis of Finley and Angie Walls of Paducah, Ky.; a son, Anthony "Amp" Harris of Finley; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Nathan Harris and Larry Joe "Jody" Harris; his parents, Oden and Evie Reagor Harris; three sisters, Frances Bluew, Willie Bee Williams and Martha Hendrix; and three brothers James Harris, Lonnie Harris and Hubert Harris.

Pallbearers will be Terry Harris, Barry Harris, Larry Harris, Larry Phillips, Ronnie Dean, Steve Richardson and Floyd Sullivan.

James Motley of Dyersburg died Tuesday at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Morell Payton, 64, of Halls, died Sunday, July 31, 2011 at his residence.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6 at St. Luke Baptist Church. Thompson's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Wright Reditt, 66, of Halls, died Friday, July 29, 2011 at his residence.

Services will be at noon today at Thompson's Mortuary in Ripley.

Debra Norman Simmons, 60, of Halls, died Friday, July 29, 2011 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 6 at Matthew Zion-Halls. Thompson's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
