Edith H. Estes, 84, of Kernersville, NC, formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, August 8, 2011 in Kernersville, NC.
She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church in Kernersville and a former member of First Baptist Church in Dyersburg. She retired from West Memphis Federal Savings and Loan when her first grandchild was born.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Matt Willard officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors after the service at First Baptist Church in the Family Life Center.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Estes of Kernersville, NC.; a daughter, Myra Estes Willard and husband, Mike, of Kernersville, NC.; four grandchildren, Melissa Edwards and husband, Neil, of Kernersville, NC., Megan Sargalis and husband, Matt, of Manassas, VA., Jacob Estes and friend, Jennifer, of Little Rock, AR. and Maggie Estes of Little Rock; and two great-grandchildren, Madalyn Kate Edwards and Jackson Estes.
She was preceded in death by her son, Michael W. Estes; her parents, William Frank and Georgie Nichols Hopper; three sisters; and four brothers.

Mr. Terry Lee Hamilton, retired Navy chief petty officer, died July 30, 2011 in Covington, Tenn.
He was born Nov. 28, 1933, in Covington to the late Charles and Ollie Terry Hamilton.
He was joined in holy matrimony to Willia Terry Hamilton on Dec. 28, 1962.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde Walk, Richard Walk and John L. Walk; and sisters Frances Walk Young, Anna Walk Johnson and Dorothy Hamilton Fayne.
Mr. Hamilton leaves to cherish his memories: his loving caregiver, Willia Terry Hamilton; his son, Jack (Monica) Hamilton of Houston, Texas; his stepson, Ronnie (Earnestine) Terry of Memphis, Tennessee; his eight grandchildren, Ryan, Don'Te, Jason, Deon, Bianca, Promise, Jackie and Chloe; four great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Mrs. Vinola Walk of Dyersburg, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were Monday, Aug. 8, 2011 in Covington. Barlow Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and burial was in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis.
Pallbearers were nephews: Melvin Johnson, Barry Fayne, Larry Walk, Rashonn Lavender, Ralph Walk, Ricky Johnson, Wilbert Young and J.T. Boykin.
F.C. "Buck" Porch, 86, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at The Highlands of Dyersburg.
He was a retired employee of Gulf Oil Company, member and Deacon of Fowlkes Baptist Church and a member of Fowlkes Volunteer Fire Department.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ralph Buckley officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his daughter, Cindy Porch Allen and husband, David Allen Jr., of Dyersburg; a sister, Virginia Vaughn of Fowlkes; a brother, Terrell Porch and wife, Catherine, of Memphis; two grandchildren, Kelli Allen and Julie Allen Thedford and husband, David, and three great-grandchildren, Mason Allen, Marlee Thedford and Ty Thedford.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Gunner Porch; his parents, Boyd and Gussie Crenshaw Porch; a sister, Dorothy Chiozzo; and a brother, Bill Porch.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Vaughn, Larry Fowlkes, Tim Vaughn, Jeff Coker, Jerry Vaughn and David Thedford. Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Sunday School Class and Deacons of Fowlkes Baptist Church.
Mr. William "Pop" Simpson, 71, of Dyersburg, TN died Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at his residence. He was a member of Miston Baptist Church, an Army Veteran and enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2011 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Carmen Dennison. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be David Simpson, Steve Chandler, Dickie Watson, David Moore, Danny Baggett and Ricky Baggett.
The Simpson family will receive visitors Thursday evening, August 11th from 5:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Simpson of Pulaski, TN, 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death his son, Raymond Carson White, 2 sisters Shirley Simpson and Betty Chandler, 1 brother Bobby Joe Simpson and his parents William and Lucille Anderson Simpson.
