Margie Elaine Buckner, 53, of Halls, died Friday, Aug. 26, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.

Born in Tallahassee, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Pearly Omer and the late Dorothy Phillis (Walz) Rancort.

She was a business owner.

Survived by three sons: Andy England of Ripley, Scott England of Henning and Ben England of Covington.

Funeral services will be held today at 2 p.m. at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls.

Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in Halls.


Mary Ann Davidson, 79, of Dyersburg, died Friday, August 26, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was retired from the Wool Spinning Department at Dyersburg Fabrics.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Carmon Dennison officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Carrie Jensen of Holladay and Janetta Davidson of Boston, MA.; a son, Willie M. Davidson, Jr. of Hernando, FL.; a brother, Thomas McCowan of Streeter, IL.; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie M. Davidson, Sr.; her parents, Leslie and Birtie Brandon Heath; and a brother, Billy Jack Brandon.

Pallbearers will be Scott Hughes, Eddie Blair, James Davidson, Donny Davidson Sr., Tommy Davidson and Dillon Davidson. Honorary pallbearer will be Finis Davidson.


Mildred "Dot" Inmon, 89, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at The Bridge at Ridgely.

She was a homemaker and a member of Independent Free Holiness Church.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Independent Free Holiness Church with the Rev. Calvin Smith officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Dyersburg Funeral Home and from 9:30-11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Beasley and husband, Robert, of Dyersburg; a sister, Fay McKee of Dyersburg; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Inmon; her parents, Henry and Mary Stubblefield Bragg; two sisters, Lois Love and Irene Rogers; and five brothers, Leon Bragg, Charles "Red" Bragg, Bonnie Bragg, Tillman Bragg and Tommy Bragg.

Pallbearers will be Lloyd Smith, Joe Meadows, Charles Staggs and Lanny Vestal.


Michelle Puckett, 31, of Steele, MO., formerly of Dyersburg, died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at her residence.

She was a homemaker and member of Fowlkes Methodist Church.

Services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Dr. John Lowrance officiating. Burial was in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family received visitors from 12:30-3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her mother, Sandra Morrow of Steele, MO.; her father, Dale Coursey and wife, Donna, of Black Oak, AR.; three daughters, Sierra Nichole Harris, McKayla Aarron Harris and Kierstyn LeeAnn Puckett; two sons, Colby David Burmeister and Brendon Charles Puckett; two sisters, Lacrisha Arender of Jonesboro, AR. and Savanna Coursey of Black Oak, AR.; and four brothers, Bethard Arender of Cash, AR., Lawrence Arender of Missouri, James Arender and wife, Elizabeth, of Steele, MO. and Doug Coursey of Black Oak, AR.

Pallbearers were Ronnie Doss, Domonic Willis, Paul Forster, James Arender, Bill Lucas and Doug Coursey.


Mr. David Rhoads, 50, of Ridgely, TN, died Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. He was a Maintenance Supervisor for Dyersburg Intermediate School, a Master Gardner, and a member of Broadmoor Church of Christ.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2011 in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Loy Mitchell and Bro. Terry Clark officiating. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5 until 8 p.m. on Saturday evening August 27, 2011 at Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg

Survivors include his wife, Theresa Threlkeld Rhoads of Ridgely; a daughter, Debbie Rhoads of Ridgely; his parents, Albert and Wilma Rhoads of Dyersburg; and a sister Kathy Rhoads of Dyersburg

He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Lee Rhoads.

Pallbearers will be Robert Cupples, Luke Nichols, Scott Nichols, Jim Nichols, Tony Green and David McGuire.
