Dorothy A. Hanks, 76, of Dyersburg, died Monday, September 5, 2011 at her residence.
She was a homemaker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Hanks of Dyersburg; three daughters, Vanessa Burkhead, Connie Thedford and Margaret Milligan, all of Dyersburg; three sons, Mark Hanks and Ed Hanks, both of Linden and Fred Hanks, Jr. of Dyersburg; a sister, Becky Gray; a brother, Lanier Chumley; three step-sisters, Barbara Chumley, Dianne Chumley and Alma Jean Chumley; a step-brother, Jerry Chumley; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Margaret Powers Chumley; two sisters; a brother; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Hanks, Bryan Morris, Larry Joe Thedford, Johnny Ray Thedford, Christopher Milligan and Johnny Milligan.
Tony Monroe, 50, of Finley, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a self-employed painter.
Survivors include two daughters, Robin Monroe of Heber springs, AR, and Raven Monroe of Dyersburg; his mother, Elsie Mae Mancell Monroe of Finley; a sister, Barbara Reedy of Finley; three brothers, Don Monroe of Paduah, KY, John Monroe and Calvin Monroe of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Ethan Pannell of Heber Springs, AR, Katelyn Dorse and Kylee Dorse of Dyersburg.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Monroe.

Billie Sue "Nana" Moore Morgan, 72, of Ridgely, TN met her Lord and Savior on Friday, September 2, 2011 at Gateway Medical Center in Clarksville, TN. After teaching in the Lake County School System for 42 years, she retired in 1999. She continued to be an active piano teacher, a pianist and member of Abundant Life Fellowship Church.
A celebration of life for Ms. Morgan will be at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at Abundant Life Fellowship Church with Reverend William George and Pastor David Gray officiating. She will be laid to rest in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely.
The Morgan family will receive visitors Tuesday, September 6th from 3:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the church. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her daughter Paula Sue Morgan Jordan and husband Robert of Ft. Campbell, KY, 2 grandchildren, William Jordan Morgan of Ridgely and Seth Eric Jordan of Ft. Campbell, KY, her aunt, Luna B. Cantrell of Ridgely, and her cousins, Glenda Cantrell of Ridgely, Willie Cantrell of Tiptonville, Clifford Wood, Thomas Wood and Elroy Wood, all of St. Louis, MO and Sally Cullipher of Sumter, SC.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Pauline Wood Moore.
Pallbearers will be Robert Jordan, Willie Cantrell, David Cantrell, Scott Bargery, Steven Bargery and Ray Goodgine, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Wally Dudley, Rob Bledsoe and Mike Fisher.
The family requests memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society or Abundant Life Fellowship Church.
