Larence Wilson Criswell, of Houston, Texas, formerly of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital in Sugar Land, Texas. He was 71 years of age.
He was a retired security guard, and a member of Westbury Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet Thielbar Criswell of Houston, Texas; son, Larence Wilson (Larry) Criswell II of Ohio; seven sisters, Dorothy Brandon, Carolyn Ketchum, Ruby Fowler, all of Dyersburg, Charlene Butler and Linda Dunsmore, both of Lakeland, Fla., Lottie Sue Lewis of West Virginia and Pamela Webb of Trimble; four brothers, James Criswell of Jackson, Otha (Red) Criswell of Ripley, Mark Criswell of Kenton and John Criswell of Dyersburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Mattie Eudell and Clintie Buford Criswell; four sisters, Cleo Crawford, Lucille Crawford, Lavern Clopton and Macy Snow; two brothers, Buford Criswell and Joseph (Joe) Criswell.

Patricia Hadley, 59, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
She was a domestic worker.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Christian Center with Bishop Wesley Arije officiating. H.H. Hudson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Ricki LeeAnn Hart, 17-month-old of Dyersburg, died Friday, September 16, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Burkett officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her mother, Stephanie Jane Cooper Hart of Dyersburg; two sisters, Michaela Rose Cooper and Delilah Rose Hart, both of Dyersburg; a brother, Andrew Riley Scudder of Bakersfield, CA.; her grandparents, Howard Wayne Cooper and Reubel and Mary Ann Hart, all of Dyersburg; her great-grandparents, Leman and Phyllis Hart of Dyersburg; six aunts, Tina Hart, Dianne Hansford, Joann Cooper, Melissa Cooper, Letha Nelson and Ashley Hart, all of Dyersburg; and four uncles, Leman Hart, Jr., Jerry Hart, Butch Hart and Ed Hansford, all of Dyersburg.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Sharon Rose Frazier; and her great-grandparents, R.D. Frazier and Ester Prescott Frazier.
Pallbearers will be Leman Hart, Jr., Jordan Hart, Ty Hart and Jamie White.
Carolyn Penrod Lampert, 72, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at Specialty Hospital in Rome, Ga.
She was a retired beautician and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where she taught the TEL Sunday School Class and was a member of the choir.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn King and the Rev. Tom Burgner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Griffin and wife Rebecca of Petersburg, VA, Jeff Griffin of Newbern, and Doug Griffin and wife Angie of Carrollton, GA; a stepdaughter, Connie Ladd and husband Barry of Newbern; her mother, Clara B. Gipson Penrod of Dyersburg; a brother, Allen Penrod and wife Marian of Springfield, MO.; six grandchildren, PFC Matthew Griffin serving in the United States Army in South Korea, David Satterwhite of Chester, VA, Amy Matherly of Richmond, VA, J. W. Griffin of Newbern, Darlene Griffin and Alyssa Griffin, both of Carrollton, GA; four step-grandchildren, Tim Ladd and Lindsey Spain, both of Dyersburg, David Ladd of Rainbow City, AL and Jason Ladd of Newbern; a niece, Dawn Short of Springfield, MO; and a nephew, Scott Penrod of Maumelle, AR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. Lampert; and her father, Jack Penrod.
Pallbearers will be Joe Quinley, David Greer, Ed Benthal, Charles James, Bubba Hopper and Johnny Greer. Honorary pallbearers will be Ralph Morgan and J. W. Griffin.
