Seventh-grader Kayla Puzdrakiewicz once again led the way winning her fifth race of the season navigating the two-mile course in her best time 11 min. 48 sec.
Aloysius White also cracked the top 10 coming in 10th place. Maria Elliott, Amanda Dunn and Savannah McCraw also medaled coming in the top 20. McCraw also won the meet's anchor award given to any team's top fifth-place finisher.

The future also looks bright for the Lady Trojans as Hannah Carraway won the junior varsity race. Leigh Ann Beam, Emma Boatright, Juli-Cait Castellaw and Cyanne Dyson also medaled in the JV race.
The boys' team was the victim of numerous injuries but worked hard with many of the members having their best score at the championship meet. Grant Carr earned his first medal in the JV race.
Coach Mike McCullough was extremely excited for the teams' successes and contributes it to the runners' hard work. "We started running before school started in July and the kids' hard work has certainly paid off."

McCullough will also miss eighth-graders Alexis Aufdenkamp, Dunn, Elliott, Jonathan Frith, Trip Johnson, Katie McDonald, Chase Petty, Sarah Price, Daniel Still, White, and manager Shayla Henning. "They led the way for our teams' success this season."
