Kayla Leeann Haynes Arthur, 20, of Ripley, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011.

Born in Dyersburg, she was the daughter of Janet Haynes.

She was a clerk, employed by H&A Partners of Halls, and a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ethan Arthur; a daughter, Emma Ann Arthur of Ripley; a sister, Brittany Haynes of Dyersburg; three aunts, Melody (Lanny) Tidwell of Halls, Regina Rice of Dyersburg, and Tammy (James) Puckett of Dyersburg; four uncles, Robert Richardson, David (Sonda) Richardson and Marty Richardson, all of Dyersburg, and Randy (Sue) Richardson of Hornbeak; and several cousins.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Halls Funeral Home.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Edith Cemetery in Ripley.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Debra Moss; a grandfather, Johnny Haynes; and a great-grandmother, Emma Sue Richardson.


Martha Ann Ballard, 37, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, October 30, 2011 at her residence.

She was a homemaker and a member of Emmaus Baptist Church in Newbern.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. James Hooper officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family received visitors from 5-8 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her daughter, Destiny Nicole Ballard of Covington; a son, Michael Lynn Pilkington of Ripley; her mother, Bertie Baker Lemonds of Dyersburg; a sister, Carolyn Denise Johnson of Dyersburg; and a brother, Steve Lemonds of Siloam Springs, AR.

She was preceded in death by her father, Allen Talmadge Lemonds.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Blair, Dennis Lemonds, Dennis Green, Carroll Shelton, Robert Holland and Carl LaRose.


Johnny Lee Hendricks, 57, of Yorkville, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011 at Gibson County Regional Hospital.

He was a ginner at the Yorkville Cotton Gin, board member of Yorkville Cemetery Association, elder of Yorkville Cumberland Presbyterian Church and active member of the Yorkville community.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Yorkville Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Bro. Jeremy Ballinger and Rian Puckett officiating.

The family will receive visitors today from 5-8 p.m. at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Susie Hendricks of Yorkville; a daughter, Dawn Lee Smith of Clarksville, Tenn.; a son, John Allen Hendricks of Newbern; and grandchildren Samuel Smith, Shelby Smith, Sidney Smith and John Cullen Hendricks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jamie Eugene and Helen Lee (Lemons) Hendricks; and a brother, Allen Ray Hendricks.

Pallbearers will be Mac Carr, Jon Murray, Franklin Pope, Jimmy Zarecor, Mike Galloway, Robert Galloway, Mack Zarecor and Jim Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Allmon, Gilbert Guzman, Freddie Aviles, Bubba Marby, Jim Payne and Stan Sims.

Mazie Joe "Poole" Morris, 79, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011 at her residence with her family gathered around her.

She was a mother and homemaker.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. today in Dyer County Memorial Gardens with Bro. Calvin Smith officiating.

The family will receive visitors at 12-2 p.m. at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home to celebrate her life.

Survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Hearod Lansaw of Dyersburg; four sons, Terry Pride of Samburg, David Pride of Dyersburg, Michael Riddick of McKenzie, and John Roberts of Memphis; four sisters, Millie F. Bane of Finley, Alice Hutson of Dyersburg, Ethel Inez Walker of Memphis and Sandra Dick Allen of Cairo, Texas; a brother, M.L. "Pepper" Poole; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Alvie Joe Pride; her parents, Joe Floyd Poole and Augusta Inez Steward Poole; a sister, Hazel Lorrine Poole; and three brothers, E.F. "Mann" Poole, M.L. "Pepper" Poole and Bradford Lee Poole.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Hammett, Coby Kimbrell, Brent Simmons, Steve Pride, Dusty Pride and Mike Smith.

Annabelle Richardson, 84, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Gibson General Hospital in Trenton.

She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ.

Services were held at 3 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Chuck Richardson, the Rev. Ray Lewis and Ms. Sharon Bessent officiating. Burial was in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family received visitors from 12-3 p.m. Monday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Deborah Turbeville and husband, F.F., of Newbern and Paula Harris and husband, Terry, of Millsfield; a son, Rev. Chuck Richardson and wife, Shelia, of Dyersburg; five grandchildren, Joanna Donaldson and husband, Chris, and Charlie Richardson, all of Newbern, Ben Richardson and wife, Kelly, of Dyersburg, John Bracken Chitwood of Jackson and Clay Simpson of Texas; five great-grandchildren, Karley Donaldson, David Richardson, Courtney Richardson, Layne Richardson and Brayden Simpson; and a step-sister, Montrey Sue Gifford of Memphis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Richardson; her parents, Ewell and Leona Pugh Crum; a brother, Robert Crum; and a step-sister, Eleanor "Tom" Brasfield.

Pallbearers were Ben Richardson, Charlie Richardson, Chris Donaldson, John Chitwood, David Richardson and Jimmy Johnson.


Frances Beal, 89, of Lakeport, Calif., formerly of Ridgely, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011 at Evergreen Healthcare Nursing Home in Lakeport, Calif.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Dyersburg Funeral Home.


Bobby Joe Crihfield Sr., 78, of Ripley, died Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011.

Services will be held today at 1 p.m. at Halls First United Methodist Church. Halls Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
