More potential evidence collected in Swift case

Friday, November 11, 2011
Agents with the TBI's Violent Crimes Response Team in Memphis processed potential evidence at the residence of Karen Swift on Willie Johnson Road on Thursday. Dyer County Sheriff's Chief Investigator Terry McCreight stated the forensic agents were there because it was the last place Swift was seen and a part of the process of the investigation.

The investigation into the disappearance of Karen Johnson Swift entered its 12th day on Thursday with still no sign of 44-year-old mother of four.

As part of the Dyer County Sheriff's Department's investigation into Swift's disappearance the TBI's Violent Crimes Response Team was at her Willie Johnson Road residence processing potential evidence.

"(The team) out of the Memphis crime lab responded to the Swift residence today to look for evidence of a crime scene," said TBI spokesperson Kristin Helm. "The Special Agent Forensic Scientists are specially trained to look for trace evidence that could be collected and processed back at the laboratory."

Dyer County Sheriff's Chief Investigator Terry McCreight said the family is cooperating with them and voluntarily left the house while agents performed their investigation. Deputies initially searched the house on Sunday after Swift was reported missing.

A TBI agent enters the Swift residence. She was part of an eight-person forensic scientist team from the TBI's Memphis crime lab called by investigators to process potential evidence in the house.

"Of course then, they were just looking for her," said McCreight.

Although the forensic agents were mainly focused on the residence and collecting evidence, McCreight said nothing specifically led them there other than that is where she was last seen.

"We just want to make sure we are following the necessary steps in this investigation," said McCreight.

As investigators gathered outside the residence Thursday afternoon, District Attorney General Phil Bivens and TBI Agent John Maher spoke briefly with them.

Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box and a Shelby County Sheriff's investigator also searched areas of interest and processed potential evidence.

"We are still piecing information together in this case," said Box.

  • Since Karen was an avid Gardener I am wondering if there has been any major digging and planting on the property that maybe should be checked?

I ask this because as a psy chic as i meditate on the case I am seeing a grave blanket and very black earth, and today i see a lite green on white large bottle of plant food or fertilizer and this causes me to still think maybe Karen has been buried on her property or somewhere in the general vicinity.

From the things I am seeing as a psychic I strongly feel that Karen has been killed, and also believe she may never have left her home that morning.

The car may have been taken to the area and the tire flattened to take the suspicion off what really happened to her that morning.

I do not believe Karen is a victim of a serial killer although she is pretty and blond like many other women who dissappeared in Tennessee.

I do however believe some of the blonde pretty women who disappeared in areas of tennesse were victims of a serial killer.

I also do not believe Holly Bobo was the victim of a serial killer but was a targeted killing by a local man who was a threat to her.

  • As an experienced free psychic working on criminal cases like this one I'm afraid I see Karen Swift deceased and in about 15 ft. of water at a boat dock. I see the killer but can't really determine his identity(husband, neighbor or neither). Need some feedback to continue. sincerely Ian
