Investigation into Swift disappearance switches gears
Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box says the investigation in the disappearance of Karen Johnson Swift may begin to shift gears with a different focus.
"It may appear to be slowing down in some areas, but it is speeding up in other areas," said Box.
He clarified the slowing down as to mean decreasing the physical ground search for evidence around the Millsfield area and other areas of interest. However, Box said he and investigators would now begin to increase their time looking at evidence and information they have collected since the investigation began two weeks ago.
"Results from evidence will soon start coming in as well," said Box. "Hopefully we will find something in there that tells us something."
On Saturday, search volunteers on horseback explored areas of interest in coordination with Box and sheriff's investigators.
