Dennis Paul Bloomer, 59, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, November 17, 2011 at his residence.
He was a retired installation and service engineer for General Electric, where he traveled to other countries for his job, member of Mid-South Riders Motorcycle Organization, an avid hunter and a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School and SUNY Cobleskill.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2011 in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Chaplain Travis Davison officiating.
The family will receive visitors from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Patty Bloomer of Dyersburg; a daughter, Kristina Bloomer of Bainbridge, PA; two sons, Geoffrey Paul Bloomer of Ft. Bragg, NC and Brian Jeskonowski of Arvada, Colorado; two sisters, Karen Tongue (George) of Scotia, NY and Kimberly Mattison of Brockport, NY; two brothers, Charlie Bloomer (Heather) of Rensselaer, NY and Gary Bloomer (Cheryl) of Burnt Hills, NY; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and June Turner Bloomer.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Dyersburg/Dyer County Humane Society.
Gloria Dewdrop Permenter, 54, of McKenzie, formerly of Dyersburg, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 in Kansas City, Mo.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her family and friends lovingly called her Dewdrop. She was born on August 17, 1957 in Dyersburg. She was a warm hearted loving person whose beautiful smile will be missed by all who knew her.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Dyersburg with Branch President Liljinqist officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Survivors include two sons, Justin Permenter and wife, Mika, and Eric Permenter, of Kansas City, Mo.; four sisters: Monette Chase of Newbern, Dianne Ireland of Soldotna, Ark. Teresa Lindley of Huntingdon and Margaret Gonzales of Crown Point, Ind. three Brothers: Jimmy Permenter of Steger, Ill. Joseph Permenter, Jr. of Dyersburg and Davey Permenter of Chicago Heights, Ill. and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her twin boys, Richard and Reuben Bailey; her parents, Rev. Joseph Perry and Vergie Mae Glozier Permenter; a sister, Geletta Permenter French; and two brothers, Jerry Paul Permenter and Marvin Permenter.
