Fred (Tamp) Mathis, 81, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at his residence. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge. Visitation for Mr. Mathis will be Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church, 208 St. George Ave., Dyersburg. Mr. Mathis was a U.S. Army Veteran. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church. Rev. Joe A. Scott officiating. Burial will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, in Dyersburg, TN. Survivors include: Daughter, Veda Mathis, Clovis, New Mexico; four sons, Fred Mathis Jr., Queen, Texas, Zeb Rice, David Mathis, Marcus (Renee) Mathis, Dyersburg, TN; 14 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Noah Dylan McNeely, infant son of Heath and Eden McNeely of Newbern, died Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Private graveside services will be Friday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Hickman officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Besides his parents, survivors include his sister, Madeline Kate McNeely of Newbern; a brother, Joshua Carter Reese of Newbern; his grandparents, Gwyn McAlister McNeely, Allen Cole, both of Dyersburg and Cynthia Cole of Medina; and his great-grandparents, Robert and Carolyn McAlister and Tony McNeely, all of Dyersburg and Muriel and Bobbie Hicks of Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Kathy McNeely.

Charlotte Ann Sorrell, 78, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

She was a retired Social Studies Teacher for Caruthersville, MO School System, member and Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church, member of Daughters of the American Revolution, Chairman Emeritus of Baptist Student Union at DSCC and a mentor for Transitions.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Hickman and the Rev. Raymond Boston officiating. Burial will be in Ripley Memorial Gardens. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Dyersburg Funeral Home and from 12-1 p.m. Friday at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Sorrell of Dyersburg; a son, Kelly Sorrell and wife, Sherry, of Jackson; a grandson, Johnathan Sorrell of Jackson; and a sister, Shirley Roberts and husband, Tommy, of Halls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Beatrice Enderson Prichard.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Baker, Joe Wright, Stan Cavness, Bob Sugg, Frank Horner and David Duncan. Honorary pallbearer will be Rev. Joe Naylor.

Frances Ann "Fran" Curry Yarbro, 76, of Dyersburg, TN died Monday, November 28, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center in Dyersburg. She was a real estate broker and travel agent and a member of First United Methodist Church in Dyersburg. Mrs. Yarbro was a member of The Memphis Bridge Club and attended Stephens College and Vanderbilt University.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2011 in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Pilcher officiating. A private interment service will be held at a later date. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors on Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. at Curry Funeral Home.

Survivors include one son, Alfred Yarbro of Dyersburg and one sister, Loretta Adams of Waxahachie, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Yarbro; one son, Charles Curry Yarbro; her parents, Joe "Baby Joe" Curry, Cuba Heathcott Curry, and her biological mother, Bessie McClatchey.

Pallbearers will be Fred Wortman, Dave Fisher, Barry Ladd, Kenneth Ladd, Butch Ladd, and Tom Yarbro.

The family requests that any memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
