Sadie Burns Evans, 90, of Rutherford, formerly of Dyersburg, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

She was a homemaker and a member of RoEllen Church of Christ.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home with Bro. Alvin Chapman and Bro. Jason Bogardus officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern.

Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Landrum and husband Don of Rutherford; a son, Thomas Burns and wife Ruth of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by husbands James Paul Burns and Ursin Evans; a son, James Burns; her parents, Jasper and Willie Hobbs Swims; sisters Lucille Hollomon and Marie Leek; and brothers, Coy Swims, John Swims and Raymond Burns.

Pallbearers will be Philip Seratt, Tim Fair, Stephen Fair, Chuck Fair, Dwayne Fair and Brian Burns.

Geral Dean Foust, 89, of Dyersburg, died Friday, December 2, 2011 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a homemaker, member of Rehoboth Methodist Church and a former member of Eastern Star.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rehoboth Cemetery with Bro. Dan Tilley and Bro. Frank Gardner officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her daughter, Mildred Sutton and husband, Don, of Newbern; two sisters, Marilyn Vickers of Mission Viejo, CA. and Mary Marchi of Mora, New Mexico; one brother, Richard Pond of New Mexico; two grandchildren, Michael Sutton and wife, Tracey, and Cori Beth Sutton; and five great-grandchildren, Matthew Thomason, Jordan Thomason, Joshua Thomason, Jansen Thomason and Jenna Sutton.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, W.E. "Pete" Foust; her parents, Clinton and Stella Crosley Pond; and a grandson, David Sutton.

Pallbearers will be Danny Wheat, Don Sutton, Michael Sutton, Matthew Thomason, Jimmy Sentell and Clark Reagan.


Mable Pollock Little, 92, of Tiptonville, died Saturday, December 3, 2011 at Reelfoot Manor Nursing Center.

She was a retired employee for A.T.&T. and a member of Tiptonville Church of Christ.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Tiptonville Chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Don Reel officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her three daughters, June Warren of Tiptonville, Glenda Daniels of Dyersburg and Beverly Allen of Joliet, IL; three sons, Fred Pollock of Tiptonville, Roger Pollock of Channahon, IL and Wendell Pollock of Florence, KY; one brother, J.C. Browning of Cordaline, ID; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Clester Pollock and Haskell William Little; and her parents, Edgar and Earlie Fain Browning.

Pallbearers will be Michael Allen, David Work, Johnny Warren, John Stubblefield, David Mooring and J.D. Downing.


Randy Steven Reynolds, 56, of Rutherford, died Sunday, Nov. 27, 2011 at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis.

He was a maintenance worker for Sun Products.

Services were Friday at Hunt Funeral Home in Bradford with Jimmy Sorrell and Terry Brenscum officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Reynolds of Rutherford; a stepson, Brian Sorrell of Rutherford; his father, Floyd Reynolds of Bradford; and two grandchildren.


Joann Hart Ervin, of Nashville, formally of Newbern died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011 at The Summitt Hospital in Nashville.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.


James Edward Ferrell, 80, of Friendship, died Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Elizabeth United Methodist Church. Friendship Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.


Clovis "Toby" Pitts, 81, of Tiptonville, died Friday, Dec. 2, 2011 at Reelfoot Manor in Tiptonville.

Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later by Curry Funeral Home.
