Bernard Mitchell "Sonny" Higdon, 73, of Halls, Tennessee died Saturday,
December 10, 2011 at his home.
He was formerly a Terminal Manager for Campbell's "66" Express in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was in marketing with Volunteer Truck Line in Dyersburg when he retired in 2000.
Services will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, at the Halls First United Methodist Church. The family will receive visitors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Church.
He graduated from Memphis State University in 1965 with a Degree in Education. He was a member of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, the Confederate Air Force (now Commemorative), retired from the Tennessee State Guard in 2008, lifetime member of The Halls First United Methodist Church, Honorary Board Member of The Dyersburg Army Air Base Memorial Association, Inc., Curator and Exhibit Designer for The Veterans' Museum in Halls.
He is survived by Patricia Meadows Higdon, his wife of 53 years; a daughter, Michelle Higdon Wolfe and son-in-law Rick Wolfe of Halls; a sister, Carla Higdon Hamilton of Halls, and one niece.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Carl Higdon and Norma Mitchell Higdon.

Norma Sue Perry-Morgan, of Trimble, died at her daughter's residence Dec. 12, 2011.
She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Cousin. She was cherished by all that knew her. Mrs. Morgan attended Trimble First Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Mrs. Norma Sue Morgan will be at 1:00 pm Thursday, December 15, 2011 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Dr. William P. Oakley officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.
Pallbearers will be Ricky James Perry, Rusty Hilliard, Roger Dean, Chuck Davis, Grant Perry, Kenneth Childress, Tommy Childress and Austin Perry.
The Morgan family will receive visitors Wednesday, December 14th from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

She is survived by Daughter Lori A. Morgan-Davis and husband Mike W Davis of Trimble, TN, Step-Daughter Dorothy Morgan of Carmichael, CA. Sister Nancy P Reasons and husband Moody Reasons of Dyersburg, TN, Brothers Ricky L Perry of Dyersburg, TN and Robert Perry of Drummonds, TN, Grandchildren Michelle Doss and Husband Josh Doss, Chuck Davis and Fiancée Britney Parker all of Trimble, TN. Great-Grandchildren Joshua Doss, Jr., Samuel Doss, and Lane Doss all of Trimble, TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Joy C. Morgan, her parents James Henry Perry and Thelma L Caudle-Perry and Two Brothers Charles Perry and Jimmy Perry.
