Barnell "Bub" Bell, 81 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at Oakwood Community Living Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.

Born Sunday, November 9, 1930, he was the son of the late Cletus Montgomery "Red" Bell and the late Willie Alford Bell.

Mr. Bell was a farmer.

Graveside services for Mr. Bell will be Monday, January 9, 2012 at 1:00 PM in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern. Officiating this service will be Rev. Ronnie Turner. Visitation for Mr. Bell will be Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home

Survivors include his wife Faye Bell of Newbern, TN; two sons, Gary Bell & wife Debbie of Dyersburg, TN and Bill Bell of Newbern, TN,; one brother, Jack Bell & wife Nancy of Dyersburg, TN two sisters, Kate Wiley of Cushing, OK and Yvonne Rush of Chicago, IL; 8 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Bell, Michael Devon Junior, Steven Junior, Jack Bell, Rick Morgan & Timmy Wiley. Honorary Pallbearer will be Scotty Bell.

Addie Jane Burks, 97, of Dyersburg, TN died Tuesday, January 3, 2012. She attended Union University where she was a member of Chi Omega and the Enonian Literary Society. She was active in civic organizations, Good Earth Garden Club and as a member of the First Baptist Church of Dyersburg.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Raymond Boston and Reverend Mike Hickman. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, David Skoglund, Jamie Skoglund, Brad Burks, Billy Escue, Ty Agee and Taylor Burks. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Moore, Eddie Burks, Tom Hamer, Dayton Keller, Albert Fowlkes, Milton Magee, Johnny Gibson, Jim Hamilton, Harry Kaplan, King Rogers, Robert Rogers and Dr. Fred Moore.

The Burks family will receive visitors from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

She is survived by her daughter, Norma Jane Skoglund and husband Roy of Roseburg, OR, three sons John T. Burks and wife Judy, Norman "Bucky" Burks and wife Patricia, both of Dyersburg, Bill Burks and wife Elva of Clarksville, TN, one brother Robert L. Hundley and wife Mary Ruth of Jackson, nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman Burks.

The family requests memorials be directed to the Youth Ministries of First Baptist Church, 220 W. Masonic, Dyersburg, TN 38024.

Freda Faye Wilson Johnson, 70, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.

She was a retired X-ray technician for Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital and a former X-ray technician at Methodist Hospital of Dyersburg.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive visitors from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Bryant Johnson of Dyersburg; two step-sons, Richard Johnson of Oxford, MS and Eddie Johnson of Westmoreland, TN; her mother, Pauline Heath Wilson Reed of Mayfield, KY; two brothers, Ashley Reed of Cuba, KY and Bob Reed of Lynnville, KY; and three step-grandchildren, Michelle Johnson of Memphis, TN, Ashlee Johnson of Oxford, MS and Sarah Johnson of Gallatin, TN.

She was preceded in death by her father, J.W. Wilson; and two brothers, Jimmy Reed and George Thomas Reed.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Kevin Seratt, 37, of Newbern, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced by Curry Funeral Home.
