Terry Wayne "Gar" McGuire, 67, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

He was a retired farmer and a member of Dyersburg Moose Lodge. He was an avid fisherman, loved to cook and was a big football fan. His favorite hobby was tellin' tales at the table of knowledge (KC's One Stop).

Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey Dodd and Bro. Royce McGuire officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his son, Terry Williams McGuire of Dyersburg; his mother, Veton McGuire of Dyersburg; two sisters, Donna Joyce Bane of Dyersburg and Loran McMillen of Jackson; and two brothers, Dale Royce McGuire of Tatumville and David Allen McGuire of Scott City, MO.

He was preceded in death by his father, Phillip Saford McGuire.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Wales, Jerry Pride, Nicky Cooper, Chad Cooper, Mike Boals and Mike Sentell.

Michael Shane Hooper, 40, died Monday, January 9, 2012 at his residence.

Visitation for Mr. Hooper will be Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Brummitt Funeral Home from 5pm-8pm. Visitation on Thursday will begin at 9am at the First Baptist Church until service time. Funeral Services for Mr. Hooper will be 11am, Thursday at the church with burial to follow at Trezevant Cemetery.

Mr. Hooper a factory worker was born October 25, 1971 to Gordon Hooper and Vicky H. Hooper.

He is survived by his parents, Vicky H. Hooper of Halls, Gordon (Jeanne) Hooper of Trezevant; two sisters, Brandi McDaniel and Holli Hooper both of Trezevant; two nieces, Madyson Fleming and Hailey McDaniel and one nephew, Mason Fleming.

He was preceded in death by one sister Amy Fleming.

Evelyn Walker, 90, of St. Louis, Mo. formerly of Newbern, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at Life Care Center in St. Louis.
