Carolyn Harper Fortner Arnold, 69, of Dyersburg, died Monday, January 23, 2012 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center.
She was a homemaker and a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Crawford officiating. Burial will be in Bowens Chapel Cemetery in Friendship.
The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her two daughters, Sheila Little and husband, Todd, of Union City and Lisa Owens and husband, Kevin, of Dyersburg; three step-daughters, Tina Arnold Pittman and husband, Ken, Debbie Arnold Sawyers and husband, Mike, all of Newbern and Janice Arnold of Sulphur Springs, TX; a step-son, Sammy Arnold and wife, Patti, of Dyersburg; two sisters, Sandy Owsley of Troy and Ruth Simpson of Dyersburg; eight step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Dan Fortner and Wendell Arnold; a son, William Michael Fortner; her parents, John and Ann Taylor Harper; and a brother, John Taylor Harper.
Pallbearers will be Dewaine Johnston, Pete Pleasant, Pete Riggs, Billy Carroll, Dale Woods and Brian Owsley.
The family requests that memorials be directed to West Dyersburg Church of Christ.
L.C. Heathcott, 73, of Newbern, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012 in Newbern.
Born in Halls, he was the son of the late Forrest Wardell and the late Irene (Lang) Heathcott.
He was a self-employed hairdresser.
He is survived by his wife, Ina (Arnold) Heathcott; three daughters, Sherry Heathcott of Arlington, Tenn., Connie Permenter of Halls, and Abby Boyd of Newbern; a sister, Margaret Sherrod of Halls; and a brother, Forrest Heathcott Jr. of Ripley.
Friends may call Thursday from 11 a.m. until service time at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls.
Graveside services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Ripley Memorial Gardens, Highway 210, Ripley.
Nat Pierce, 87, of Paris, Tenn., formerly of Friendship, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 in Paris.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at LeDon Chapel of Ridgeway Funeral Home in Paris.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Millers Chapel Cemetery in Dyersburg.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Joy Staats Pierce of Paris; a son, Russell (Jill) Pierce of Camp Hill, Penn.; a twin sister, Neima Smith of Dyersburg; grandchildren Holly Pierce and David Troutman of Camp Hill, Penn.; and four great-grandchildren.

Evelyn Walker, 80, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Newbern, died Sunday, Jan. 22, 2012 at Lifecare Center in St. Louis.
She was a domestic worker.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 28 at noon at Jones St. Church of Christ in Newbern with Bro. Jesse Webb officiating. Burial will be in MCCO Cemetery in Newbern.
The family will receive visitors Saturday from 11 a.m.-noon at the church.
Survivor include two sons, Billy Walker and Willie Walker, both of St. Louis, Mo.; three daughters, Norma Cooper of St. Louis, Mo., Bernice Thompson of Newbern and Jo Anne McKinney of Lexington, Ky.; four brothers, Willie Louis Cooper and Danny Cooper, both of Newbern, Jimmy Cooper and Douglas Cooper, both of Milwaukee, Wis.; six sisters, Mary Wiggins, Magalene Gauldin, Minnie Cooper and Sarah Bryant, all of Newbern, Josephine Nance of Dyersburg and Bernice Mims of Milwaukee, Wis.; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
