Members of the Kiwanis Club made a special presentation to McIver's Grant Public Library on Friday, Jan. 27. Kiwanis officials were on hand with a $20,000 donation to the capital campaign for its new building. The funds were raised in the Kiwanis Club's first-ever Duck Blast, held Dec. 15 and 16. The event featured a live auction, a dinner, a poster contest and a chance to win an ATV at the Lannom Center on Thursday, Dec. 15. The following day, hunters were treated to a day shooting from some of the area's best waterfowl blinds and a chance to take home a Benelli Nova 12-gauge camouflage pump shotgun. The money presented to library officials on Friday will be used toward Kiwanis Kids' Corner at the library's new location in the old Piggly Wiggly building, located at 416 W. Court St. in downtown Dyersburg.
