Jerome William Farrell, 72, of Newbern, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City.
He was a retired mechanic and a Catholic.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include his two daughters, Eva Farrell and Farrah Rosales, both of Dyersburg; three sisters, Mary Powers, Bernice Farrell and June Farrell, all of Chicago; five brothers, Tom Farrell, Danny Farrell, Earl Farrell, Jr., Mike Farrell and Jim Farrell, all of Chicago; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Veronica O'Toole Farrell; and a grandchild.
Brynda Williams Moore, 70, of Davidson, NC, formerly of Newbern, died Friday, February 3, 2012 at the Levine Dickson Hospice House.
She was born on July 25, 1941 in Jackson, TN to the late Argyle and Margaret Williams. She loved traveling to both the mountains and the beach.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hopewell Cemetery in Medina.
The family will receive visitors at Medina First United Methodist Church after the services.
A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2012 at Davidson United Methodist Church in Davidson, NC.
She is survived by her three sons, Mark Moore and wife, Dana, of White, GA, Brent Moore and wife, Elizabeth Tracy of Telluride, CO and Bryan Moore of Cornelius, NC; a brother, Tommy Williams of Jackson; and two grandchildren, Matthew Moore and Laura Moore.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Levine-Dickson Hospice House, 11900 Vanstory Drive, Huntersville, NC 28078 or to the charity of the donor's choice.
Joshua John Rogers, 31, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at his residence.
He was a former forklift operator for Quebecor and was in the Army National Guard.
Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his daughter, Abbigale Grace Rogers of Walnut Grove, AL; his mother and step-father, Delilah and Rex Coker of Dyersburg; his father and step-mother, Charlie and Robin Rogers of Ocala, FL; his grandmother, Nona Rogers of Leachville, AR; one brother, Jamie Matheny and wife, Tina, of Monette, AR; his companion, Felicia Noel of Dyersburg; three step-children, Emily Noel, April Noel and Cody Noel, all of Dyersburg; his step-grandfather, Charles Dempsey of Columbus, MS; a step-sister, Brandy Ellis of Dyersburg; two step-brothers, Chris Coker and Todd Coker, both of Dyersburg; three nephews, Alex Matheny, Caleb Westmoreland and Jacob Coker; a niece, Kiley Westmoreland; three special cousins, Brandon Swain of Washington, DC, Sarah Swain of Kennett, MO and Brianna Curry of Ocala, FL; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Alexander.
Karen Johnson Swift, 44, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2011.
Born January 25, 1967 in Galesburg, IL.
She is preceded in death by paternal grandparents; Silas and Marie Johnson and maternal grandparents; Howard and Ruby Kidd.
She is survived by husband of 22 years since September 23, 1989, David Swift of the home, two sons; Preston David Swift of Conway, AR and Dustin Glen Swift of the home. Two daughters; Ashley Paige Swift of the home and Keeley Shea Swift also of the home. Parents, Gary and Carol Johnson of Walnut Ridge, brother Jeffrey Johnson of Walnut Ridge, AR and sister Lisa Currie of Searcy, AR. One nephew, two nieces, four great nephews and numerous relatives, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
While in high school Karen won numerous trophies and awards in track. After graduating she ran 5K marathons. She loved and adored her family and children and was always involved in her children's activities. Karen has two boys in college and was raising two younger girls by the same standards that she raised her boys. She is loved and will be missed by all.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Church of God with Robert Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Friday from 5-8 p.m. in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include: Tommy Dunlap, Steve Shults, Mark Tanner, Mark Rowe, Fred Jarrett, and Neil Ray.
Katherine B. Williams, age 88, of Newbern, TN, died Monday, February 6, 2012 at the home of her daughter, Lillie W. Cooper.
Mrs. Williams was born January 15, 1924 in Tennessee to the late Erick and Minnie Burse. She was a homemaker and former employee of All Wear Manufacturing.
Graveside services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee with Mr. Roger Ogden officiating.
Mrs. Williams is survived by two daughters Linda W. Bromley and husband Phillip of Newbern, Tennessee and Lillie W. Cooper of Newbern, Tennessee; two sons, Lawrence A. Williams and wife Shirley (Doss) of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Jerry W. Williams and wife Shirley (Johnson) of Dickson, Tennessee; a son-in-law Herbert R. Essary of Dyersburg, Tennessee: one brother, Bobby Burse of Halls, Tennessee; nine grandchildren, Herbert R. Essary, Jr. of Kentucky, Candie Still of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Lawrence A. Williams, Jr. of California, Clay and Cory Williams of Dickson, Tennessee, Dawn Reed and Dana Shelton of Newbern, Tennessee; twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She also leaves her special friend and sitter of two years Megan Johnson.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband Loy A. Williams; a daughter, Patsy Williams Essary; two grandsons, Michael Essary of Halls, and Jerry Kenneth Williams of Dickson, Tennessee; her sister by choice Lucile Martin of Neboville, Tennessee, three sisters and three brothers.
