D.C. Epperson, age 90 of Frankfort formerly of Midlothian, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2012.
He was WWII U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany. Beloved husband of the late Lois M. Epperson; loving father of Peggy (David) Farris, George "Bo" (Sheila) Epperson, Vickey (Phillip) Estrada and Paula (Terry) Burns; fond brother of George (Christine) Epperson; cherished grandfather of 7 and proud great grandfather of 10.
Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 9:00am until time of funeral service at 11:00 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Lighthouse Fellowship Church 8128 W. Lincoln Highway, Frankfort IL 60423 would be appreciated.
Johnny Eugene Free, 67, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
He was a retired mental health counselor for Northwest Correctional Complex, retired Captain of the Army National Guard; member of Finley Baptist Church, member of Forked Deer Car Club, avid outdoorsman and a huge Tennessee Vols Fan.
Memorial services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Holy Hills Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeremy Ballinger officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturday at the church.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, Janet Free of Dyersburg; three daughters, Lori Ramsey Foster and husband, Joel, of Tiptonville, Kim Free Bennett and husband, Rick, of Olive Branch, MS and Merribeth Free Myers and husband, Jason, of Dyersburg; a son, James Ramsey, Jr. of Chicago, IL; his mother, Hazel Free of Finley; a brother, Quincy Free of Finley; five grandchildren, Heather Richardson, Dustin Ramsey, Torri Beth Myers, Bethany Bennett and Charlie Bennett; and a great-granddaughter, Khloe Ramsey.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis Free.
The family requests that memorials be directed to American Cancer Association or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Michael Lewis Hames, 45 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Friday, February 10, 2012, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Graveside services for Mr. Hames will be held 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Church Grove Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Ronnie Turner and Rev. Billy Tucker. The family will receive visitors from 5:30-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Born Tuesday, June 14, 1966 in Decatur, Alabama, he was the son of the late Thomas Ray Hames and Nancy Marie Cooper Hames of Dyersburg, Tennessee. Mr. Hames was a member of the Mims Church Of God in Mims, Florida and a Co-Leader for TOPS.
Mr. Hames is survived by his wife, Tanya Marie Armstrong Hames of Dyersburg, TN; one son, Michael Hames, Jr. of Dyersburg, TN; two daughters, Elicia Marie Hames of Dyersburg, TN and Jamie Tavia Hames of Dyersburg, TN; mother, Nancy Marie Cooper Hames of Dyersburg, TN; one brother, Michael Joseph of Detroit, MI.; two sisters, Barbara Jones (Albert) of Dyersburg, TN and Gail Mallory (Mark) of Dyersburg, TN; and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Luther & Valda Cooper and an Uncle Vernon Westmoreland.
Pallbearers will be Mark Mallory, Albert Jones, Sam Templeton, Pat Brinkmier, Tom Soltis, Chris Connor, Jay Litchford and Christopher Greenhaw. Honorary Pallbearer will be Tommy Jones.

Spirgon Palmer, 87, of Dyersburg, TN died Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a retiree of Dyersburg Fabrics in Dyersburg, TN. Mr. Palmer was a member of St. Mark M.B. Church in Gates, TN.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2012 at 1 p.m. at St. Mark M.B. Church, located at 425 Wardlow Road in Gates, the Rev. Walter Evans, pastor; minister Fareed Akbar eulogizing. Burial will be at Old Chapel Cemetery in Halls.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church.
He leaves one daughter: Vancilla 'Cookie' Pitts; three sons: Rubert Palmer of Dyersburg, TN, Graylon Palmer of Nashville, foster son Raymond Wilson of Aurora, IL; two sisters: Bobby Yancy of Gates, TN, Savanah Bradford of Ripley, TN; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
