Martha Evans Haynes, 82 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, May 11, 1929 in Newbern, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Douglas Flack and the late Frankie Griffin Flack.
Mrs. Haynes was a retired employee of All-Wear Manufacturing. She was a charter member of the First Christian Church in Dyersburg, Tennessee where she taught the Golden Circle Sunday School Class for many years and was a member of the Senior Circle.
Funeral services for Mrs. Haynes will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 28, 2012 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Mike Gardner. Internment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 27, 2012 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Mrs. Haynes is survived by one daughter, Barbara Dawz and husband Roy of Minot, North Dakota; one sister, JoAnn McCanless of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter-in-law Jess Haynes of Dyersburg, Tennessee; grandchildren, Louis "PeeWee" Carrell and wife Amy of Newbern, Tennessee, Nick Davidson and wife Jenn of Henderson, Nevada, Niki Muncrief and husband Jonathan of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Karen Smaili and husband Riad of Southaven, Mississippi; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands James Evans and Ernest Haynes; one daughter, Janice Carrell; one son, Ernest Junior Haynes and two brothers, Calvin Flack and Bryce Flack.
Pallbearers will be Sam Bopp, Ronnie Glass, David Caldwell, Cliff Sweatt, Danny Lowery and Rick Campbell. Honorary pallbearer will be Lynn Brooks.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the First Christian Church, 1200 Community Park Drive, Dyersburg, Tennessee.
