James Fines "Hoss" Davidson, 94 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Friday, March 30, 2012, at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.
Born Friday, August 24, 1917 in Mississippi County, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Joseph Richard Davidson and the late Carrie Cockrell Davidson.
He was a retired Waste Room Supervisor for Dyersburg Fabrics and a member of Cornerstone Church of God.
Funeral services for Mr. Davidson will be Sunday, April 1, 2012 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. O. J. Hart and Rev. Mike Glover. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Newbern. Visitation will be Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 1:00 PM until service time at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Mr. Davidson is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Davidson Beaumont of Chapmansboro, Tennessee and Rhonda Davidson of Martin, Tennessee; three sons, James T. Davidson and wife Patricia of Newbern, Tommy Davidson of Newbern, and Donny Davidson of Newbern; one sister, Gracie Davidson of New Mexico; 11 grandchildren, James "Jamie" Davidson Jr., David Warren Davidson, Sara White, Jeff Beaumont, Chuck Beaumont, Selena Ottsen, Nicholas Davidson, Darla Smee, Donny Davidson Jr., Dakota Seth Davidson and Dillon Kyle Davidson; 15 great-grandchildren, David Warren Davidson Jr., Wesley White, Ryan White, Matt Beaumont, Amanda Holland, Cheyla Pinder, Laken Pinder, Kean Ottsen, Lyndon Vires, Legend Vires, Ladd Smee, Liberty Smee, Donnie Dwayne "Tripp" Davidson III, Nolan Davidson and Peyton Davidson; three great-great-grandchildren, Trinity Holland, Elijah Holland and Levy Holland.
He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice "Nannie" Haynes Davidson; five sisters and two brothers; son-in-law, Chris Beaumont and daughter-in-law Paula Davidson.
Pallbearers will be James "Jamie" Davidson Jr., David Davidson, Chuck Beaumont, Donny Davidson Jr., Dillon Davidson and Dakota Davidson. Honorary pallbearer will be Jeff Beaumont.
