Marilynn Lanier Ozment, 80, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, at her residence in Dyersburg.
Born Wednesday, May 6, 1931 in Dyer County, she was the daughter of the late J. B. Lanier and the late Marie Bouldin Lanier.
Mrs. Ozment was a home-maker and member of First United Methodist Church in Dyersburg.
Graveside services for Mrs. Ozment will be 12 noon, Friday, April 6, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Officiating the service will be Rev. David Russell. Visitation will be Friday from 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern.
Mrs. Ozment is survived by one daughter, Carole Ozment Whitnel and husband Charlie of Dyersburg; one son, Billy Ozment and wife Karen of Dyersburg; one brother, John Bussey Lanier and wife Robbie of Humboldt, TN; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband William F. Ozment, Sr.; one daughter, Jane Ozment; and one grandson, Clay Moore.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Whitnel, Price Whitnel, Jimmy Lanier, Nick Newsome, Nathan Newsom and Jere Ozment. Honorary pallbearer will be John Bussey Lanier.
The family asked that memorials be made to the charity of donor's choice.

Charles Lanier, 62, of Ridgely, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis.
