Mrs. Shirley Bell Baker, 74, of Trenton, TN died Monday, April 16, 2012 at Humboldt General Hospital. She was retired from Jimmy Dean in Newbern and a member of Shelter for the Sheep. Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She always blessed many people by her love of cooking and sewing.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Mac Daniels. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Billy Baker, Glenn Baker, Lawrence Parnell, Jr., Kenneth Parnell, Dustin Rigsby, Dickie Rigsby. Honorary pallbearers will be Caleb Connor and Stephen Rigsby.

The Baker family will receive visitors Wednesday, April 18 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include 4 daughters Cindy Davis (Steve) of Trenton, Dawn Connor (Craig) of Chuckey, TN, Teresa Bass (Matt) of Montgomery City, MO and Deborah Falkner (Leonard) of Troy, MO, 5 sons Marvin Spence (Judy) and Ricky Baker (Roxanne), both of Dyersburg, Perry Baker of Hibbing, MN, Billy Baker of Fox Lake, IL and Glenn Baker (Yolanda) of Richmond, IL, 1 sister Florence Staggs (Clifford) of Hayti, MO, 1 brother Ulis Mosier of Ripley, sister-in-law Marilyn Parnell of Dyersburg, 30 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 1 soon to be great-great-grandchild and many wonderful nephews, nieces and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Alton Baker, 3 brothers, Luke Mosier, Neil Mosier, Lawrence Parnell, her parents Marcus Mosier, Ivy Jewel Parnell and stepfather Henry Parnell and her sister-in-law Mary Lou Mosier and her good friend Ernie Pirofilo.

Mr. Windal "Clyde" King, 65, of Dyersburg died Monday, April 16, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services for Mr. King will be at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Griffin officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg.

The King family will receive visitors Wednesday, April 18 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Larry Bizzle, Jimmy Willoughby, David Hendren, James Vestal, Larry Sawyers and Pete Riggs. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Larson and Jason Bizzle.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila King, 1 son, Tommy Hendren and wife Misty all of Dyersburg, 2 sisters Margie King of St. Louis, MO and Sara King of Bethel Springs, TN, 3 brothers, James King and Jerry Wayne Saxton, both of Bethel Springs, TN, Bobby King of St. Louis, MO, his mother-in-law Doris June Moore, 3 sisters-in law, Brenda Dunivant, Debbie and Jimmy Flowers and Wanda and Bennett Tibbs, all of Dyersburg and 1 niece, Stephanie Dunivant of Texas.

He was preceded in death by father Virgil King, mother Dovie Williams King Saxton and his father-in-law Billy Moore.

Elaine Seratt, 73, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, April 15, 2012 at her residence in Dyersburg. She was a homemaker and a member of Lenox Church of God of Prophecy.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Paul Seratt Sr. of Dyersburg; one daughter, Judy Ann Chastain and husband Frank, of Calhoun, Ga.; four sons, Samuel Paul Seratt Jr. and wife Gina, of Newbern, Tn, David Eugene Seratt and wife Pamela, of Greybull, Wyoming, William J. Seratt of Halls, Tn, and James Alan Seratt and wife Robin, of Dyersburg, Tn.; four sisters, Ardith Cox and husband Tom, of Pisgah, Iowa, Sharon Blankemeyer and husband Kurt, of South Sioux City, Nebraska, Vickie Johnson and husband Gary, of Omaha, Nebraska, and Debra Armbrust and husband Bob, of Omaha, Nebraska; six grandchildren, J Paul Seratt and wife Kimberly, of Laramie, Wy., Alyson Blaire Pollock and husband Thomas, of Dyersburg, Amber Nicole Murchison of Dyersburg, Tn., James Preston Seratt of Dyersburg, Tn., Rebecca Breana Seratt of Powell, Wy., and Madison Claire Seratt of Newbern , Tn.; three great-grandchildren, Samuel Eli Pollock, Addison Nicole Reddicks, and Preston Lane Seratt; 5 nephews and 7 nieces.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Lori Sue Seratt; her parents, Lloyd and Edna Benson; and a brother, Lonnie Benson.

Maj. Ronald Jess Thrash, 74 of 5139 Concord Rd., Gates, TN, died Monday, April 16, 2012. at his residence in Gates, TN.

Born in Denver, CO, he was the son of the late Ronald Columbus and the late Truth Mitchell (Heard) Thrash. He served during Vietnam War in the Marine Corps as an Aviator.

Survived by his wife: Nancy (Hargrove) Thrash, one daughter: Kelly Thrash of Halls, TN and one son: Todd Thrash of El Indio, TX. Brother of one brother: Larry Thrash of McKinney, TX. Mr. Thrash is also survived by 4 grandchildren.

Predeceased by his sister, Donna Lea Blouin.

Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 at Halls Funeral Home, 109 N. Church St., Halls, TN.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Halls Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations are sent to The Halls Veteran's Museum or the Autism Foundation of TN.
