Lillie Bolden, age 53 of Tiptonville, TN, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at her residence. Cosmopolitan Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John No. 2 M.B. Church, Tiptonville, TN. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. St. John No. 2 M.B. Church, Tiptonville, TN, with Pastor Perry Woods officiating. Burial will be held in Citizens Cemetery in Tiptonville. Survivors include: daughter, Valecia Bolden, Tiptonville, TN; son, Travis Kimble, Tiptonville, TN; sisters, Althea Swift, Carolyn Elam, Samella Robinson, Tiptonville, TN, Sheila Bolden, Dyersburg, TN; grandchild Vashaad Driver. Lavern Carter, 93, of Maury City, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Crockett County Nursing Home in Alamo. She was retired from Heckethorn Manufacturing in Dyersburg and a member of Buck's Chapel M.B. Church in Maury City.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 28 at 1 p.m. at Buck's Chapel M.B. Church located at 9475 Highway 88 in Maury City, with the Rev. David Lewis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Poston Grove Cemetery in Maury City. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 28, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church.

She leaves two sons, Willie C. Carter of Maury City and Melvin Carter of Benton Harbor, Mich.; two sisters, Arnell Butler of Alamo and Mary Duett of Benton Harbor, Mich.; a brother, Uary Lindsey of Benton Harbor, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

Dwayne Thomas, 47, of Dyersburg, died Monday, April 23, 2012 in Nashville. He worked at Byars Construction Co. in Dyersburg.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 30, 2012 at 1 p.m. at New Birth Ministries Church located at 215 High Ave., Dyersburg. Pastor Taylor will be officiating. Burial will be at Dyersburg Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, April 30, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the church.

He leaves his wife, Kapree Terry; two daughters, Candace Thomas and Leslie Thomas, both of Dyersburg; three sons, Marcus Thomas, Rico Thomas and M'ylon Kimmons, all of Dyersburg; his father, Willie Mack "Dub" Thomas of Dyersburg; four sisters, Lawanda Mann, Darnisha Mann and Baby Ruth Taylor, all of Dyersburg, and Carol Brewin of Milwaukee, Wis.; four brothers, Kenneth Thomas and Myron Hall, both of Dyersburg, Victor Ridley of Milwaukee, Wis., and Terry Thomas of Flint, Mich.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lula Marie Adams Thomas; and two brothers, Stephon Thomas and James Thomas.

Willie Mae Dickson, 80, of Dyersburg, TN died Monday, April 23, 2012 at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is charge of the arrangements.


Randy Kemp of Newbern died Thursday, April 26, 2012 in Dayton, Ohio.
