A memorial interment service for Linda Shipman Landgraf will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 23 at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Linda passed away earlier this year unexpectedly, but following an extended period of illness.

Linda was born November 12, 1945 in Charleston, South Carolina to William Len Shipman, Sr. and Virginia Dickinson Shipman. She was raised in Dyersburg and attended Dyersburg Public Schools, graduating from High School in 1963. She graduated from Vanderbilt University with a B.A. degree in history in 1967, and the University of Georgia, with a M.A. degree in history in 1971. Linda was a homemaker and active volunteer for her children's schools and sports teams, and her church for many years.

Linda is missed by her loving husband of 42 years, David C. Landgraf of Cinnaminson, New Jersey, where they resided the past 35 years. She also leaves behind loving family members, brother William Len Shipman, Jr. (Cynthia Gray) of Powell, Tennessee, and sister Susan Shipman (Mark Jicha) of St. Simons Island, Georgia; her children, Keith Sordon Landgraf (Amy) of Barnegat, New Jersey, and Virginia Landgraf Betten (Alex) of Frederick, Maryland; and grandchildren Logan Betten, Cora Betten, and Hudson Landgraf.


Mr. Wilburn Mauldin, 88, of Ridgely, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012 graveside at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely with Bro. Charlie Halliburton officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, June 21, 2012 from 12 noon until 2:30 p.m. at the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home.

Survivors include a daughter, Emily Pritchett and husband Butch of Finley; two sons, Jack Mauldin of Ridgely and Robert Mauldin Sr. and wife, Amy of Finley; one sister, Bonnie Perry of Dyersburg; one brother, Arlon Mauldin of Oakland, Tn.; nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Tate Mauldin; one daughter-in-law, Brenda Mauldin; three brothers, Orean Mauldin, Bryan Mauldin, and Harold Mauldin; and one grandchild, Robert Mauldin Jr.

Pallbearers will be Todd Mauldin, Justin Daniels, Josh Daniels, Chad N. Cooper, Shane Mauldin, and Chad Cooper.

Mr. J. D. Robinson, 65, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, June 16, 2012 at his residence in Dyersburg.

Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, June 21, 2012 in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Ronnie Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Pemiscot Memorial Gardens near Caruthersville. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family will receive visitors Wednesday, June 20, 2012 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris Robinson of Dyersburg; a brother, Joe Ritchard Robinson of Malden, Mo.; three brothers-in law, Donual Roberts of Dyersburg, Darrell Roberts of Dexter, Mo. and David Roberts of Mo.; and two sisters-in law, Donna Harris of Illinois and Delcia Crockett of Columbia, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R. W. and Catherine Noblin Robinson.

Archie Mae Barnes, 51, of Madison, Ill., died Monday, June 11, 2012 at Gateway Regional Medical Center in Granite, Ill.

Services will be at 12 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark Church in Henning. Thompson's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Mr. Wilburn Pierce, 45, of Dyersburg died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Jackson Regional Hospital.
