Ruth Tubbs, 77, of Dyersburg, Tennessee, formerly of Bogota, died on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

Born February 15, 1935 in Dyer County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Bernie Neal Murray and the late Lavada Hubbard Murray.

Mrs. Tubbs retired as the custodian for Bogota School and was a member of Faithway Baptist Church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Tubbs will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 19, 2012 in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Bro. Perry Grills. Interment will follow in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Tubbs will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Tubbs is survived by two sons, Neal Tubbs of Bogota, Tennessee and Danny Tubbs of Dyersburg, Tennessee; six daughters, Bonnie Epperson and husband David of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Maxine Baker of Trimble, Tennessee, Gail Curtis and husband Billy of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Shelby Chun and husband David of Newbern, Tennessee, Mary Hein and husband Dennis of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Patricia Grills and husband Perry of Newbern, Tennessee; one brother, Jack Murray of McKenzie, Tennessee; one sister, Artie Mae Burpo of Union City, Tennessee; 16 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilburn Odell Tubbs, one son, Roger Dale Tubbs; one grandson, Billy Joe Burkeen; one brother, Buck Murray and two sisters, Wynona "Sissy" Dick and Emmalou Estes.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family asks that memorials be directed to the Community Cancer Fund, P.O. Box # 1002, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38025.

Ruby Dunn, 64, of Tiptonville, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at her residence.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Dyersburg Funeral Home.

Alice Arruda Waluk, 93, of Halls, died Saturday, July 14, 2012.

Funeral Mass will be held at 12 p.m. today at the Holy Angels Catholic Church in Dyersburg. Halls Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
