Tommy Anderson, 77, of Lenox, died Monday, August 20, 2012 at Regional Medical Center in Memphis.
He was a lifelong resident of Lenox, a community he dearly loved. He was a member of Finley Baptist Church. He was a member of the TN National Guard and currently served on the Dyer County Equalization Board. He was a retired rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service and a farmer. He truly enjoyed his retirement years spending time with his family, gardening or on his tractor and visiting with his B&B Family in the mornings. He also had a special group of friends that he enjoyed on their Thursday night outings.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery with Bro. Charlie Halliburton officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Anderson of Lenox; a daughter, Sandy Anderson Stafford of Finley; a son, Keith Anderson and wife, Tammy, of Lenox; and five grandchildren, Jaclyn Stafford, Kaylee Anderson, Katelyn Anderson, Kade Anderson and Mary Jean Stafford.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Hester Wallace Anderson; a sister, Louise Wallace Bodron; and two brothers, Alvie Anderson and George Wallace.
Pallbearers will be Brad Studard, Steve Sartin, David Haddock, Kenneth Childress, Jim Bodron and Bob Bodron. Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Wallace, George Larry Wallace, Jeff Sartin, Harold Sartin, Dr. Bob Cook, Jack Clairborne, Joe Woods, Joe Bradford and Men's Sunday School Class at Finley Baptist Church.
