May Elna "Sister" Cobb, 85, of Soddy Daisy, TN formerly of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Soddy Daisy Healthcare.
She was a retired telephone operator for Bell South, member of North Cleveland Baptist Church in Cleveland, TN, former member of Second Baptist Church in Dyersburg, member of Eastern Star, professional basketball player for Dr. Pepper Team, loved to watch sports of all kinds and attended Dyersburg High School.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Dyersburg Funeral Home with the Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 1-3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Charles and Susan Arnold of Chattanooga, Sam Arnold of Nashville, Reid and Becky Daniels of Soddy Daisy, Frances Ann Kain of Nashville, Eddie Cobb of Cordova, Bubba Cobb of Dyersburg and Lexie Cobb of Batesville, MS; many great nieces and nephews, including, Corrie, Ethan, Brittany and Jo Elna Arnold and Leah and Sidney Daniels; and a sister-in-law, Ona Cobb of Dyersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Cobb; her parents, Aldeon "Red" and Heloise Adkins Tubbs; a sister, Janet Tubbs Arnold; and a special uncle, Hill Adkins.
Pallbearers will be Chip Arnold, Sam Arnold, Reid Daniels, Marty Tubbs and Mike Tubbs.
The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Wesley Junior Hall Jr., 42 of Martin, Tennessee died on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, at his Residence in Martin, Tennessee.
Born Wednesday, June 24, 1970 in Union City, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Wesley Hall Sr. and the late Imogene Bishop Hall.
He was employed by Tyson Foods.
Funeral services for Mr. Hall will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 2, 2012, in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Victor Hassell. Interment will follow in Pierce Cemetery in Trimble, Tennessee. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Mr. Hall is survived by son, Daniel Blake Hall of Gibson, Tennessee; two daughters, Christina Shea Allmon of Yorkville, Tennessee and Hillary Leigh Simpson of Las Vegas, Nevada; five brothers, Tim Ingle of Martin, Tennessee, Tom Ingle of Troy, Tennessee, Richard Hall of Clarksville, Tennessee Russell Hall of Trimble, Tennessee and Tracy Hall of Summertown, Tennessee; three sisters, Loretta Peden of Greenhill, Alabama, Peggy White of Kenton, Tennessee and Crystal Allen of Mayfield, Kentucky and one granddaughter, Ellie Grace Simpson of Las Vegas, Nevada.
Pallbearers will be Todd McKnight, Brad Poole, Tony Stafford, Tony Simpson, Dustin Hollis, Grehg Frye and Tyler Walls.

Verna Mai Haggard, 89, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, August 30, 2012 at The Bridge at Ridgely.
She was a retired secretary with the State of Tennessee Department of Human Services, member of First Baptist Church and a member of Tennessee Association Public Welfare Retirees.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery with Mr. Rick Crawford officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday at Dyersburg Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Haggard of Dyersburg; a daughter, Charlotte Hill of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Ashley McCallen Bell and husband, Bryan, of Waukesha, WI and Tech Sergeant James McCallen IV of Clearview, FL; and two great-grandchildren, Katie Bell and Chloe Bell, both of Waukesha, WI.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Kay Haggard; her parents, William and Jeannie Flatt Mallard; a sister, Virginia M. Williams; and two brothers, Jack F. Mallard and William E. Mallard, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Tech Sergeant James McCallen, IV, Bryan Bell, William Mallard, Olen Funderburk, Lloyd Collier, Al Wade, Randy Brooks and Lowell Beck.

J.B. Wright, 79 of Dyersburg, Tennessee died on Thursday, August 30, 2012, at his residence in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
Born Friday, March 17, 1933 in Newbern, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Henry Wright and the late Trummie Story Wright.
Mr. Wright was a Farmer.
Funeral services for Mr. Wright will 2:00 P.M., Saturday in the Chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating this service will be Rev. Steve Mills. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife Mary Alice Wright of Newbern, Tennessee; three sisters; Juanita Holmes of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Mildred Bradley of Newbern, Tennessee and Lea Hall of Dyersburg, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by a brother William Wright.
Pallbearers will be Mike Shelton, Jeff Bradley, Lynn Holmes, Scotty Vaughn, Kevin Fair and Joe Nichols. Honorary Pallbearers will be Buddy Hill, Joe Hall, Richard Fowlkes and Bill Purvis.
