Modessa McDaniel Daniels, 85, of Lenox, died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center.

She was a retired licensed practical nurse at Parkview Hospital and a member of Three Oaks Baptist Church.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Dyer County Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Bill Phipps officiating. Dyersburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her daughter, Bettye Dodson and husband, Mike, of Lenox; a son, Edd Daniels, Jr. of Dukedom; a sister, Peggy McDaniel of Martin; six grandchildren, Tony Daniels, Audra Daniels, Samantha Daniels and Felecia Daniels, all of Dyersburg, Jeremy Dodson of Lenox and Karen Spencer of West Memphis, AR; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Daniels, Sr.; her parents, Lonnie and Nina Hudson McDaniel; two sisters, Geraldine Wilson and Mary Weimer; and a brother, Bill McDaniel.

The family requests that memorials be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Mary Jo Sims, 67, of Dyersburg died Friday, August 31, 2012 at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown. She was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church and a homemaker.

Funeral services will be at 10 am Saturday, September 8, 2012 at the Holy Angels Catholic Church conducted by Father Robert Stellini. A memorial service was held at the church Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 12 Noon. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The Sims family will receive visitors Friday, September 7th from 4:30 -- 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Maurice E. "Moe" Sims of Dyersburg, and 1 son, Geoff E. Sims of Murfreesboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Marie Agnes Kreifels Jorgensen.

The family requests memorials be directed to Holy Angels Catholic Church PRE Fund, 535 Tucker Street, Dyersburg, TN 38024, American Diabetic Association, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or charity of donor's choice.

Martha E. Adcock, 87, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 at The Highlands of Dyersburg.
