The rest of the defending group of Amanda Sanchez, Olivia Jones, Sydney McNeill and Destiny Thompson with further support from Sadie Liljenquist and Taylor Sharp closed down the JCS attack and prevented many high-percentage shots on Windle. Liljenquist, Clifft along with Katherine Keller late in the match held the central mid possession and continued to provide some level of counterattacks with the wing and forward play of Hurst, Cassandra Solis, Marielle Eschavez and Maricela Leon.
"With history against us vs. JCS, this is, I guess, one for the ages," said coach Lisa Clifft. "Everyone worked very hard, under extreme conditions. I'm very proud of these Lady Trojans."
Dyersburg is now 4-0-1 on the season and hosts division rival Obion Central on Monday night at 5.
