Chamber Coffee to focus on health care Friday

Wednesday, October 3, 2012

The Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce will hold a Chamber Members Coffee at the Lannom Center from 7:30 a.m. until 9 a.m., on Friday, Oct. 5. The topic of discussion will be health care, featuring local member experts, White and Associates Insurance and Alexander, Thompson, Arnold CPAs.

These local chamber member experts will speak on the topics, "What the Current Federal Health Care Law Means for Business Owners and Managers" and "Understanding the Tax Insurance Implications of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act."

"Business owners and managers need to understand how the current law will impact their tax obligations and their employee insurance costs," said Chamber President Allen Hester. "These presentations by local tax and insurance experts will help bring clarity to the current situation and give Chamber members the vital information they need now in order to minimize their future costs in these important areas. We will have plenty of time for questions from the audience, too, so those who attend can get their questions answered and be prepared for what lies ahead."

This event is free to chamber members and $5 for non-members. Register by calling the Chamber at 285-3433 or email wbrock@dyerchamber.com.

Sponsors for the event include First Citizens National Bank, Hillshire Brands, Dyersburg Electric, Forcum Lannom Contractors, Eaton Corporation, Forcum Lannom Materials, Security Bank, AT&T, CableONE, Dyersburg Regional Medical Center, First South Bank, First State Bank, Law Offices of Lannom Coronado PLLC, and Davis Wealth Services.
