McIver's Grant Public Library Director Dara Gonzales enjoys a little reading time with a special friend in the children's department of the library. Raggedy Ann enjoys story time as she awaits the December drawing that will provide her with a new home. Local residents can participate in the fundraiser, which offers a chance to win the child-size doll for just $5. The drawing will take place Monday, Dec. 17, just in time to be a holiday treat for one lucky winner.

Raggedy Ann is currently visiting McIver's Grant Public Library, perusing books in the children's department and bringing cheer to patrons with her familiar smile.

But as much little Annie enjoys catching up on her reading, she is really waiting patiently for a home.

A generous patron has donated the child-size Raggedy Ann doll -- complete with straps on her feet designed for dancing with her owner -- to benefit the building fund.

Residents may purchase a chance to win the Raggedy Ann doll by donating $5 to the building fund. The drawing will take place Monday, Dec. 17.
