Ronald O. "Ronnie" Shelton, 69 of Newbern, Tennessee died on Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at Jackson-Madison County General in Jackson, Tennessee.
Born Saturday, April 10, 1943 in Dyer County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Ben Shelton and the late Sarah Williams Shelton.
He was a retired Maintenance Employee for ATS At Eaton.
Graveside services for Mr. Shelton will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. James Combs and Rev. James Hooper. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home.
Mr. Shelton is survived by his wife Martha Borden Shelton of Newbern, Tennessee; three sons, Ricky Shelton & Wife Carla of Newbern, Tennessee, Art Anderson of Newbern, Tennessee and Steven Winchester of Dyersburg, Tennessee; one daughter, Karen Winchester of Newbern, TN, two brothers, William "Bill" Shelton & Wife Frances of Newbern, Tennessee and Carroll Shelton & Wife Linda "Poodle" of Newbern, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Ashley Criswell Stevens and her husband Peyton of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Roger Anderson of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Logan Anderson of Newbern, Tennessee, Phillip Winters of Newbern, Tennessee, Alyssa Shelton of Newbern, Tennessee Ben Shelton of Newbern, Tennessee and Vivian Ann Stevens of Dyersburg, Tennessee and 1 great-granddaughter Karin Olivia-Jean Winchester of Newbern, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Valerie Shelton Criswell.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne French, Don Pugh, Mickey Hudson, Keith Shelton, Clark Thompson and Jeff Milligan. Honorary pallbearers will be William Parnell, Chuck Benjamin, Barry Thompson, William Borden, Jason Shelton and Ronald Morris.
