Trends: According to Federal and State Market News Service, compared to
last week, Slaughter cows steady. Bulls 2.00 higher. Feeder steers under
550 lbs mostly 3.00 to 7.00 lower, with instances 12.00 lower, over 550
lbs steady. Feeder heifers under 500 lbs 2.00 to 4.00 lower, over 500 lbs
1.00 to 3.00 higher. Feeder bulls under 500 lbs 2.00 to 6.00 lower, over
500 lbs steady to 5.00 higher. Demand moderate. Quality poor to good.
Slaughter cows 77 hd; Bulls 9 hd; Total feeders 938 hd; Feeder supply:
steers and bulls 478 hd, heifers 460 hd; Feeders over 600 lbs 202 hd;
Replacement and/or feeder cows 40 hd.
